John Smith, not the 1600s one, was a real unlucky douchebag.  Both of his wives somehow ended up missing!  In 1974, his first wife Janice disappeared after a night working as a Go Go Dancer.  She left without taking her clothes or car, or telling anyone where she was going. In fact, no one knew what happened to her until 21 years later. His second wife, Betty Fran, went missing too. Could John just be unlucky or is he a total psychopath murderer? I think we know the answer already.
