- Yo Gotti Breaks Down What Owning Your Masters Really MeansYo Gotti Breaks Down What Owning Your Masters Really MeansThe real truth right here. ✊🏾Don’t be stupid. Signing over your masters is stupid. The amount of revenue streams that are about to be available from the ownership of your music is insane. Your family’s financial future is tied to the decisions you make right now. If you want to lease out your songs, ok. If you want to license out your songs, ok. But selling them off is idiotic. Every song you create is a million dollar company. With streaming and social media ads, if you invest money into marketing, you’ll see $1M off your music in the next 40 years. The most songs you have out, the more money you’ll make. Yo Gotti understood this. That’s why he owns his masters. I hope Drake owns his masters at this point. He’s sitting on multiple billion dollar companies in his catalogue. For your music to make money, you have to market it. If you have a marketing plan, what is it?If you have a marketing plan, what has worked for you?If you don’t have a marketing plan, why not?If you don’t have a marketing plan, why haven’t you clicked the links below?►► Click Here and Subscribe to the #1 music marketing channel on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/Doriangroup82...🎶 Do You Want More Music Business and Music Marketing Tips? ►► https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDMw_...►► Enroll In Our Top Rated Music Marketing Course: https://www.group82university.com►► Become A Group 82 University Affiliate and Make $1,000 Per Sale (50% Commission) - https://www.group82university.com/aff...►► TubeBuddy: How did I grow my YouTube Channel to 100,000 Subscribers and $70,000 in Revenue in 11 months? Master P was able to provide that for him and get him away from death row safely. If you have a problem with something, you need to bring a solution to the table.Everyone wants to complain about shit without a plan to fix it.A lot of ya’ll complain about politics without a plan to fix what’s going on locally.A lot of ya’ll complain about your finances, but don’t put in the work to change things. When you complain, you are fooling your brain into thinking you are doing something. When you actually aren’t doing nothing. It’s the placebo effect. And you get stuck in the same rut of underachieving bullshit. You have to fix your life.No one is going to fix it for you. What are you doing to fix your problems? What are you doing to fix your business?Do you make money when you are sleep?►► Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/Doriangroup82...Click Here To Get Enrolled $2000 Music Marketing Course For Only $250 Today - https://www.group82university.com/enroll (Only 4 Slots Left)Figuring out how to promote your music can be a daunting task. When I was starting off in my music marketing journey, I just wanted to find a music marketing channel on YouTube that focused digital music marketing strategies.Once I charted #1 on iTunes, I knew I cracked the code for how to market my music online.I wanted to share this Music Biz 101 information thought my platform, Group 82.The DIY music biz has exploded since the streaming era took off and everyone makes it seem like the music business is made easy. It’s not, but this channel gives you real music promotion strategies that work.►► Click Here and Subscribe to the #1 music marketing channel on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/Doriangroup82...Sell My Course and I’ll Pay You $500►► Click link: https://www.group82university.com/aff...Turn on notifications for my posts.Song: “Even Love Me” by DorianSpotify - https://open.spotify.com/track/2UQYd8VCKWb2u87YxjNE1o?si=hHK8k8UKQhCHXkrAdzhruQApple Music - https://music.apple.com/us/album/even-love-me/1523054326?i=1523054334Watch the full video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/5SjKNTrpM7o8 min
- Pharrell Explains How You Know You Have A Musical GiftPharrell Explains How You Know You Have A Musical Gift@pharrell really gives deep insight here. If you’re someone who has a musical gift, you’ll know exactly what he’s talking about. I didn’t know I had a gift until I was 29. I’m from Nap. Niggas don’t make it in music. Shit wasn’t a reality. Because of that, I never thought about even trying. It wasn’t on my radar. But when you are meant to do something, it will find you. That’s what happened to me. And I’ve doubted myself constantly. People have talked shit about me, my music and my business. People have praised me, my music and my business. Neither one of those opinions matter, it’s about how I feel. That’s what keeps me even keel when I get 50 DMs, 150 emails and 1000 texts in a day. I’m doing the shit I want to do when I want to do it. And I was called to do it. If I wasn’t, I wouldn’t be doing it. Do you think you have a musical gift? If so, why? - This Is Why Record Labels Want Your MastersThis Is Why Record Labels Want Your MastersLame. This clip pissed me off.I wasn’t pissed at the system.I’m not even pissed at the weak ass dude in the video.I was pissed at how matter of factly he was speaking.Like this shit is normal. And ok.Marketing someone else’s product and owning it in perpetuity without sharing the wealth with them is not ok.Making someone pay for all of the expense to market their product while you collect all of the profits is not ok.Keeping people in debt to you for 25 years when you’ve made $100,000,000 from a business venture that cost you $1m is not ok.In no other realm of business would this be ok.But in the music industry it is.Because the music industry is fucked.NO MORE.No more signing over your masters.Your masters generate so much revenue and they finance everything that these labels do.Not just for you, but for other artists too.Drake’s catalog is literally keeping the lights on a Universal. Not just for him,Or Cash Money.Or Young Money. For EVERYONE.Drake deserves an equity stake in every artist’s earnings who have used revenue from his catalog to generate more revenue. But since this is the music business, that would be preposterous.IT’S OUR TIME.►► Click Here and Subscribe to the #1 music marketing channel on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/Doriangroup82...🎶 Do You Want More Music Business and Music Marketing Tips? ►► https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDMw_...►► Enroll In Our Top Rated Music Marketing Course: https://www.group82university.com►► Become A Group 82 University Affiliate and Make $1,000 Per Sale (50% Commission) - https://www.group82university.com/aff...►► TubeBuddy: How did I grow my YouTube Channel to 100,000 Subscribers and $70,000 in Revenue in 11 months?
