Today our guest is an expert when it comes to pest management in agriculture. Dr. Norman Leppla is a Professor of Entomology and the founding director of UF/IFAS integrated pest management program. IPM, or Integrated Pest Management is one tool farmers use to eliminate pests on their farms. Dr. Leppla is going to explain the process of IPM, how chemical sprays are only one small part of the equation, what consumers should know about pesticides, and how these chemicals work.
