It’s full of high energy, funk sounds honed from the beautiful NE Arnhem Land. Andrew takes us through some of the production of the album and what's in store for 2025. We played Wata Mäwi within the interview and concludes with Go To Sleep (The Legend of Ŋamini Baŋ' Baŋ')

Local afro-beat artist Katanga Jr joined the Big Brekky Show this morning. 2025 looks set to be even bigger, with his return from East Africa kicking the year off and following the release of Tanzania, the first single off his forthcoming five-track EP Bongo. We were also treated to an acoustic version of a yet to be recorded or released, beautiful song.

Western Arrernte marathon runner from Mpartnwe, Charlie Maher Junior, competed in the Cadbury Marathon on Muwinina Palawa country, in Nipaluna, Hobart, Tasmania.

"I've ran 10 Marathons in the last 15 years through the Indigenous Marathon Project/Foundation and this one was by far the toughest one yet", says Maher Junior. Hear all about it on The Big Brekky Show.

Aboriginal Investment NT has just announced the new CEO Nigel Browne to lead the future growth and innovation in communities and we’re lucky to catch him for a chat this morning. With an impressive background including roles as a solicitor, policy advisor, and Crown Prosecutor, during which he championed the rights of Aboriginal people, Mr Browne, a Larrakia and Wulna man, brings more than two decades of experience in leadership, legal advocacy, and community development. His most recent role was CEO of the Larrakia Development Corporation (LDC).

If sports are not really your thing, come Learn to DJ with In the Mix and Craft and Water play with Creative Space! An extra Saturday session involves E-Sports Virtual Reality/computer-based gaming sessions from 10am – 12pm at 64 Todd Mall which will run for an additional 2 hours (10am – 2pm) outside of ASTC’s remit. Only 30 spots available each session. Available to 25 year olds and under.
