She the Founder of The Hatchery which is a New York technology ecosystem with advisory consultancy and incubator for startups and she has Founded Division One Capital Fund which is making capital available to minority and women businesses. She has helped over 350 early stage companies with their on products, businesses, revenues, and funding.

Yao was named by Forbes as 1 of 11 women at the center of New York’s digital scene and Techweek's 100 most influential tech leaders. She’s also a very well known public speaker, and have held TED Talks on building digital companies. She’s been featured in newspapers and magazines like Fortune, Inc Magazine & Daily News.

Her mission is the same as mine - to push more women into taking ownership in this world.
