95bFM: Stage Direction

Zoë and Tess are feeling festive as the season has begun, but what does theatre have in store for us during this silly season? Shortland Street The Musical has caught Zoë's eye, as well at Q Theatre's Here Lies Love, and Basement's Work Do and trusty, Snort. Plenty to go round, folks!

Zoë returns from being snatched by the cast of Monster Mash last week, and says despite that experience, she highly recommends you check it out. Also recommending The Taming of the Shrew, and Basement Theatre's Jacinda. Get amongst, guys.

Tom, Zak and Harry have snatched up Zoë and Johanna and taken over Stage Direction this week to talk Dynamotion, Monster Mash. Reviving all the long-lost monsters we feared, Monster Mash is space for those to prove how scary they really are. Tom, Zak & Harry dig deep to find out what scares Mikey the most...

Johanna is back this week for her last show of the year, before she's goes gallivanting around Wellington, with some awesome suggestions for all your theatre desires. She reckons you should check out Jacinda at The Basement, as well as her own pride and joy, Aunty, because, you know, it's gotta be good if our own Johanna is the star. Right?!

Johanna's back! Catching up with Mikey about theatre tales of the past and the present, what not to miss and what you have missed, while she was in Wellington. Nice to have you back in the studio, Johanna!

It's that time of year (Halloween), and boy is it exciting for the theatre community. Zoë catches up with Mike over all the spooky shows to fill your entire weekend. Not only is it Halloween, but it's Basement Theatre's ten year birthday, so everybody's dressing up to Party and there's a Playlist ready to go. If that's not enough reasons to dress up, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is coming to K Road. And if you're not spooked enough The Exorshit, will surely get you. Zoë's got something for everyone, this week.

Need plans for the long weekend? Love to watch theatre? Zoë's got you covered with her picks for all your local shows over the next week. Basement theatre's A Lost Cause for your Friday night, with a cast of 6 women, it's bound to fix your theatre needs, followed by Down To Clown - No Homo, also at Basement. And next week, Medusa and Zoë reckons this is one that shouldn't be missed.

Zoë joins Mike in studio with her two friends from the theatre community, Pheobe and Tamara, but who would've thought they'd be delving into Mikey's favourite kind of theatre... Puppets. Paper Planes is on at the Basement Theatre and the experts are telling you it's good, I mean, who doesn't love a puppet show? Get your tickets.

Zoë brings in theatre that's throwing is back this morning, Badjelly The Witch is back and as good as ever. As well as an adults choice, Paper Planes at the Basement, and Pax Assadi - Brown Famous if you're looking to fill your weekend with a chuckle or two.

Zoë debuts her first solo Stage Direction and boy does she have a line up for you. I mean, you could go to Spookers (...but you don't want to) or you could have a night filled with theatre fun and magic. A Few Things I've Learnt About Dating And Death, followed by Cradle Song to get your dose of horror and if that's not enough theatre, get your tickets to Retail Therapy as the cherry on top. Ooooh yeah.
