The Coast Music Museum for June 29th 2018

1985 - Mick Jagger and David Bowie worked together at the legendary Abbey Road Studios to record their song "Dancing in the Street." The music video was shot the same day to benefit the charity, Live Aid.

1994- The Manchester based band Oasis made their BBC TV debut performing their single "Shakermaker."

2003 - Beyonce started a five week run at No. 1 on the U.K  charts with her album "Dangerously In Love." She also hit the U.S No. 1 on this day in 2003.

Artifact of the day: 1966 - Performing his song "Cherry, Cherry" Neil Diamond makes his TV debut on American Bandstand.

The Coast Music Museum for June 28th 2018

1986 - Wham! topped the U.K singles chart with their fourth and final No.1 and played their farewell concert in London to an audience of 80,000.

1997 - "The Dark Side of The Moon" by Pink Floyd spent its 1056th consecutive week on the U.S Album Charts. Music lore states that if cued properly when watching "The Wizard of Oz", this album syncs up eerily well with the film.

2007 - The Spice Girls announced that they were reforming for a world tour that would go on to take place December 2007 and January 2008. They had not performed together since May of 1998.

Artifact of the day:  1968 - The Beatles recorded "Good Night" from their White Album, John Lennon's lullaby for his 5 year old son Julian.

The Coast Music Museum for July 27th 2018

1987 - Whitney Houston made history when she became the first woman to enter the U.S album chart at No.1 with her self titled album "Whitney."

1994 - Aerosmith joined the future of music by becoming the first major band to allow fans to download a full new track for free from the internet.

2009 - Black Eyed Peas started their 14 week stretch at No. 1 with their hit single "Boom, Boom, Pow." They went on to replace their own No.1 slot with another single from the same album, "I Gotta Feeling."

Artifact of the day: 1970 - The Jackson Five hit a two week run at No.1 with their song "The Love You Save." This would mark the group's third U.S No.1 of the year.

1984 - Barbra Streisand records "Here We Are At Last" for her then upcoming album "Emotion."

1993 - Happy Birthday Ariana Grande! The 25 year old singer, songwriter and actress found her start on Nickelodeon and has since become a pop sensation.

2016 - A U.S auction house sold an electric guitar owned by Prince and a lock of David Bowie's hair for the combined total of more than $150,000.

Artifact of the day: 1977 - Elvis Presley made his last live concert appearance in Indianapolis at Market Square Arena. He would pass away only a few months later on August 16th.
