The bed music during our advertising is an old loop by OKU-DA and our intro song is a brand new jam he cooked up just for us (note: both songs do not really reflect his usual style, but do yourself a favour and check out his SoundCloud).

The Montreal podcast that brings Montrealer Michael Mando right into your ears even though we’re all in self-isolation.
Michael (once again) puts us all to shame with his drive and motivation as he has spent his time in isolation literally learning how to use sound editing software to put his music together. Mind you, he also has some inspiring words for us all. Check out Michael Mando’s debut single “The Wild One” on YouTube and tune in to the season finale of Better Call Saul this Monday (April 20th) on AMC. And if you haven’t watched it yet there’s basically no better time to binge, what else you got going on?
Oh hey, Walter co-hosts this one again! 2020 is crazy.
Listen to Michael Mando’s debut single “The Wild One” here:
Walter J. Lyng is a stand-up comedian based out of Montreal, you should follow him on Twitter @wallygoodtimes and on Facebook: Walter J. Lyng

It’s episode 3 of Montreal’s favorite quarantine podcast! Go Quarantine Yourself (because you love your family)!
So I know last episode we said we were going to talk about our favorite TV shows but Inés lost her voice and Lawrence had to work SO we brought in the only man who could possibly step up to fill in for not one, but TWO co-hosts down: Walter J. Lyng bay-bay!
We talk about some television, we talk about some wrestling, we talk about some sports. Venditto’s computer dies so he’s not even a part of the last 15-20 minutes of the episode.
Can’t stop this pod!
As always, a big thank you to the providers of our theme song: Leighland Beckman and Aural Turpitude!

Chris Venditto is another funny person in Montreal who you can see all over the place and if you don’t want to miss him take the stage you should follow him on all the socials. He’s @chrisvenditto on Twitter and Instagram so you should follow him on those two things. He also produces shows with the guys at Perfect Bite Productions who you should also follow on Instagram and on Facebook.

Hey, remember back in Go Plug Yourself Episode 200 where I said “thank goodness Lawrence wasn’t on the cruise with the COVID-19” outbreak and we all laughed it off?
Those were the days.
So, in light of our current state of lockdown we thought we would mix it up a little bit by continuing the transformation of Go Plug Yourself into Go Quarantine Yourself and in the spirit of isolation we will be isolating ourselves from our guests. For the next few episodes we’re going to get to know our new co-hosts a little better.
To officially kick things off (despite this being Episode 2 of this little sideshow) Inés, Lawrence and Chris have all brought lists of their favorite comedians and all time greats. They talk a little about how these performers got them into comedy, why they’re so good and some of their favorite performances.
So download the episode, press play, and pretend we just invaded your home to have a long conversation about comedy while we ignore you.
As always, a big thank you to the providers of our theme song: Aural Turpitude!
Inés Anaya never stops finding ways to be funny: writing for Hindwing Press, running shows like Stand Up Story Slam and getting on the mic at comedy shows all over the city. The best way to keep track of what she’s up to next is on Instagram @clout__atlas
Lawrence Corber also produces some shows you may have heard of (you should probably check out the next Healthy Living show when you get a chance) and if you’re close with him you can call him Lully. The other way to call him “Lully” is to follow him on his socials. @Lully514 on Instagram.

GROSS!

Well, this is weird, right?
First of all, it’s Sunday and not Thursday which means this episode is 4 days late. But that’s probably not the weirdness that you thought of when I said “this is weird”, is it?
Anyhow, thanks to the magic of modern technology we should be able to get back on schedule for both Go Plug Yourself and 9ES (with all hosts and guests safely safe isolated). In fact, I think it’s only fair to admit that the only reason this episode is late is that I am so terrible at adjusting to working from home that I somehow didn’t find the time to put the episode together despite the fact that I am not actually even going outside.
That’s on me.
Chris Venditto and I talk about all this craziness and Walter J. Lyng swings by for a cameo. Enjoy the show!

The Montreal podcast that asks local punk band BOIDS: “What attribute about yourself could lead to greater things for humanity if properly nurtured?” AND “What is the one thing you want to change about your relationship to capitalism before you die?” (Questions submitted by Jason Grimmer and Jordan Robson-Cramer from Phonopolis in GPYS 201).
The boys from BOIDS just released their latest record “Quel Drag” so Andy and Patrizio joined Inés and I to talk about it.
Apparently they’re Montreal-based pop-post-punk weirdos (or nerds) but aren’t we all pretty much over genres anyways?
Judge good times for yourself and check out their page for the latest release “Quel Drag” BOIDS over on Stomp Records.
Anyhow, check out the video for their brand new track “Bick Thief” here:

Parasite and Jojo Rabbit. Protests and Pipelines. Episode 203 of the 9 to 5 Entertainment System brings you all the best coffee talk, the hottest of takes, and the roundest of friendship circles, and we do it all right in your ears from Montreal!
