  • Mitchell Rabin Interviews Eco-Scientist Guy McPherson on Near-Term Extinciton
Mitchell’s guest this evening is University of Arizona Professor Emeritus, Guy McPherson, Ph.D.  Today’s show is Part 2 of 3.
Today, Mitchell interviews environmental scientist, Guy McPherson, about the true seriousness of our environmental plight this very moment.  Based on unfiltered science, Guy interprets the findings of global dimming, greenhouse gas overwhelm of our atmosphere and the presence of nuclear power plants throughout the world as painting a very dark future for humankind.
Guy R. McPherson is an American scientist, professor emeritus of natural resources and ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Arizona. He is best known for promoting the idea of near term extinction (NTE), a term he coined about the possibility of human extinction as soon as 2030.
In May 2009, McPherson began transitioning to living on an off-grid homestead in southern New Mexico. McPherson authors a blog called “Nature Bats Last”, that focuses on global climate change, energy decline and the possibility of imminent human extinction due to the increasing accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. • Mitchell Rabin Interviews Economist Hazel Henderson on The Green New Deal
Many say that the economy is doing ‘great’.  Yes, if you’re a money manager perhaps.  But not if you’re a blue-collar worker or you happen to work for the U.S. government  Not if your in the 90% of the people who are working 2-3 jobs just to stay afloat or live paycheck to paycheck.  And that’s just the surface of it.  Drilling deeper, so to speak, we see that having a fossil fuel-based economy is like sawing off the plank on which we’re standing.  So today’s discussion will be looking at “The Green New Deal” which proposes an entirely new way of envisioning our economic future, on real terra firma which also includes public banking.
To unpack this today, Mitchell’s guest this evening is environmentalist, social entrepreneur, enlightened economist, Hazel Henderson.
Hazel Henderson, D.Sc.Hon., FRSA, is founder of Ethical Markets Media, LLC (USA and Brazil), a Certified B Corporation.  She is a world renowned futurist, evolutionary economist, a worldwide syndicated columnist, and author of  award-winning Ethical Markets:

  • Mitchell Speaks on Shaping the Future: 2019
To welcome in the new year, this evening, initially in linear form and expanding to systemic and gestaltic, Mitchell reviews the past years and psycho-historical patterns, then what would be of value to consciously shape for the future based on the principles described in Mitchell’s not yet released book Sacred Stewardship: Awakening the Soul to Action.
Part of what will be discussed is the scourge of war, of violence our species has perpetrated on our eco-system and a world replete with injustice, what it feels like for a sensitive, empathetic being to accommodate the paradox and what we can do about it to bring these expressions of the lowest aspects of our nature into a higher octave of intelligence with which we have also been endowed.  Play, humor, forgiveness, love, joy and laughter, interestingly, provide the ladder.
We will discuss both inner and outer ecology and how these can both be worked with kindly and respectfully to effect meaningful change.
As you might imagine, focus will be on personal and planetary health, well-being and sustainability which are currently on an unprecedented collision course of a magnitude we can’t  even imagine.  Tune in and those listening live have the opportunity to call in to Mitchell at: 602 753-1860.

  • Mitchell Rabin Interviews Jungian Astro-analyst Monty Taylor on 2019
Today’s show is an assessment of 2018 at year’s end and a projection into what may be in store for us in 2019, most interestingly, what we will bring into existence in this upcoming year.
We see what forces shape our society and institutions, many of us are heartsick and the hypocrisy, immorality and lack of dignity, human values and integrity in what stands, and are impelled to act to not only ‘clean up the mess’ but, even more excitingly, shape the society, the culture and theplanetary ethos, zeitgeist, morphogenetic field as the higher expression of our creativity and souls would have us do.  This is the domain in Rabinian lingo, of Sacred Stewardship.  This is honoring our Mother Earth, Pachamama, Gaia, our effervescing eco-system fully while establishing an eco-friendly, sustainable and thriving, light-touch habitat for ourselves and sentient beings.
To help us with this and to understand more about the elements that will be influencing our job of sculpting, Jungian Astrologer Monty Taylor has been invited to weigh in and what he saw for 2018 and what he sees coming in 2019.

  • Mitchell Rabin Interviews Classical Pianist Katya Grineva
Wed., Dec. 5, 6pm, EST:  In honor of beautiful music and its profound effect on our health and on the soul, Mitchell has invited back the beautiful classical, Romantic pianist, Katya Grineva.
When a teenager, Katya came to New York in 1989, she had two goals: to study in America and one day, to play in Carnegie Hall.
Living most of her adult life in NY, she acquired a reputation as a pianist of exceptional romantic/poetic expression. Commentators agree that Katya achieves her impact at the piano more through subtlety rather than by force. Above all, she values the beauty of tone. She stresses a suppleness and a natural approach to the keyboard. Her interpretation and mastery of the piano can be summed up by the following: ‘ with Katya you sink into the sweet abyss of the music…’
Born in Moscow, Ms. Grineva began studying piano at the age of six, attending the Moscow Music School. She went on to the Moscow High School of Music under the aegis of the prestigious Moscow Conservatory.
Other awards include: a special award from the New York State Shields in 2003 and, most recently, an award for special achievements from the government of Guam. Katya is often invited as a guest performer on the exclusive “Silver Sea” and “Radisson Seven Seas” cruise lines on which she travels through Europe and South America and the South Pacific. She has since played all over Asia including for Presidents of countries and most often Katya plays charity concerts for charities around the country and the world for the benefit of children.
Katya will be playing at Carnegie Hall for her 18th year on Dec. 27.

  • MInd-Control, AI, Robotics & The Trans-human
In Aldous Huxley’s The Doors of Perception brought to our attention the power perception has in our daily lives.  Perception is the raw material of a belief system. A belief system occupies a specific psycho-somatic, psycho-emotional, body-mind neural network that lives in our sub-conscious, and sometimes our conscious mind.  George Orwell’s 1984, shows us how, when this principle is applied to a society by, say, a government, this establishes a perceptual frame that can then be normalized and can be declared to be a consensual reality.
If this is in service to the People, this phenomenon could be greatly constructive. If used to increase the power of a few over the masses for self-serving purposes, if for destructive reasons, a form of fascism emerges.  Granted, many people live in a trance of one sort or another most of life, but mind-control for self-interested purposes signals an entirely new era.  Tune in for exploration of these subjects.
