Join us for a chaotically fun recap of SJM’s interview from September 26th with Christina Lauren! She laid down some hard truths, including one that Caitlyn may never recover from. There are a few offhand comments that have us very concerned for some characters. She shared some new information and gave a few vague responses that are causing mayhem with theories. We also got some fascinating snippets into SJM’s writing process.

The patrons have spoken and we get to gush over our favorite recent 5 star reads! But wait! Of course, there is a catch because they love to mess with us. We have to read the 1 star reviews. Let’s just say that Goodreads is absolutely bonkers and basically the Wild, Wild West! Also, we couldn’t let the week go on without addressing the biggest Love Story of our generation. We are INVESTED.

After the collective trauma of Nyx’s arrival, the Valkyries have a heartfelt reunion over tea. Cassian is coming to terms with the fact that his mate is the holder of the Dread Trove and we LOVE seeing Nesta claim it as her own! Also, I am driving the delulu bus when it comes to how much power remains in Nesta’s veins. Seriously, you can’t change my mind on this. The mating ceremony planning begins after Nesta offers Cas a questionable snack.

We’ve declared that Spooky Season is upon us! Let’s kick off the best season by talking about all our favorite supernatural creatures and beings! We cover the classics, i.e. vampires, fae, shifters, etc. It wouldn’t be a true Thirsty Thursday episode if Mads and I didn’t fangirl over some lesser known supernaturals too. Hehehehehe

We’ve arrived at the scene that will forever live in infamy for Mads and I. We’ve got so many questions and a lot of grievances. One big question: is Madja truly the best healer they have? Really?!

TW: Traumatic Birth

We are approaching THAT scene. You know the one. The one that will forever irk us. Good thing we’ve got one teeny tiny chapter before we hit that point. While we are saving the bulk of our annoyance for next week’s episode, we couldn’t resist giving a little teaser today. We also get some fun STS time in to help calm ourselves down. 

It’s time to hop back into Mads’ favorite book in the Throne of Glass series, Heir of Fire! First things first though. We have a mystery on our hands that is consuming Madison’s every waking thought. Anyways, back in Wendlyn, Aelin is straight up not having a good time. Her training is not going smoothly and Rowan’s methods are a bit unorthodox. Meanwhile, Chaol and Dorian are dealing with their own issues with varying outcomes. Manon and her Thirteen are introduced to the deadly (and very cute in Blake’s opinion) Wyvern!

Mads and Blake coming in hot with a big tip for villains: STOP WITH THE MONOLOGUES! In this case, Briallyn’s incessant need to hear her own voice comes in clutch for Nesta. Her annoying chatter gives Cassian time to break through the Crown’s hold. Do we like his new plan though? No, no we don’t. Briallyn runs into a classic The Hobbit situation with the sun and Nesta’s own powers. What an idiot.

Emerie and Gwyn have made it to the top, which is great. Yay. We are very happy for them, truly. HOWEVER, Nesta has not made it to the top yet. In fact, she is stuck fighting a male drunk on his own hatred. It is not a pretty scene. Nesta’s last week has been brutal and they call this part of Ramiel the Breaking for a reason. Then again, it is Nesta we are talking about and we know she doesn’t give up easily. After a dramatic entrance, we are all thrilled to see Cassian….until we aren’t.
