A Daily Walk on Oneplace.com

In light of what’s taking place in Israel right now, we’ve made the decision to interrupt our regularly scheduled programming. Last time we were together pastor John highlighted God’s plan for Israel in the past. But what about the present and future? Is God done with Israel? And what should our response be to Israel and all that’s going on right now? Tune in and find out.

We’re interrupting our study of Matthew to bring you a message pastor John Randall delivered not long ago. Israel has been all over the news in recent days. You’ve probably seen some of the horrific images of the brutal surprise attack by terrorists on the Jewish people, and the subsequent war that is going on even as we speak! Today pastor John is going to answer some of the questions that people have been asking in light of all of this. Like will this lead to the Isaiah 17 prophecy concerning Damascus, or the Ezekiel 38 war? He’ll also describe God’s plan for Israel.

Many of us can look back on a time in our lives when God miraculously touched and saved us. Our lives were forever changed as a result. What a blessing. But maybe you’ve yet to experience that? Listen today as we’ll notice what Jesus did for two men in that position, and wants to do for you! In Luke chapter five, there a few people you might be able to identify with on some level. The first is a man with Leprosy.

Currently, Pastor John Randall is making his way through the Gospel of Luke. Today we are going to meet a man who was cleansed of leprosy - something unheard of in his day and age. Jesus, of course, specialized in the impossible, and the fact that a man could be cured of an incurable disease was certainly noticed by those around him! As we study Luke five, we can’t help but notice the striking parallel between leprosy and sin, and the one who can cleanse us from it.

No doubt you’ve heard some fish stories perhaps even told one or two yourself. And maybe they were whoppers! But the one you’re about to hear is the truth. The gospel of Luke gives us a very detailed historical account of the ministry of Jesus. At this point Jesus is fishing for humanity and calls His disciples to follow His lead.

A fishermen’s greatest delight is coming home with a boatload of fish. It doesn’t happen very often, but when it does, it’s a great feeling. Imagine having a lousy day of fishing. Not even so much as a bite. You’re about ready to give up and head back in, but your friend convinces you to try one more time. This time you catch so many fish that the nets begin to break and there are enough fish to fill not only your boat but your fishing partner’s boat as well. Wouldn’t that be something? It actually happened to Simon Peter one day, and through it he discovered a life changing lesson. Let’s see what it was by joining Pastor John Randall in Luke chapter five for this Monday edition of A Daily Walk

Today we pickup where we left off in Matthew chapter 4. If you’ll recall this is where Jesus was tempted in the Wilderness. And just like our Lord faced temptation during His time on earth, so too will we. And I’m glad to say there’s a way to overcome. Pastor John Randall will utilize this time together to point out several practical steps we can take in overcoming temptation in our daily walk.

Just like in our day, when the Lord Jesus walked this earth there were those that rejected Him and His message, and those that believed the message and embraced Him. Both responses are presented in the passage before us today on a Daily Walk. Pastor John Randall has an eye on Luke four, verses 14-44 today. First we’ll have a look at the resistance to the ministry of Jesus. You’d think of all people His hometown would warmly embrace Him, but we’re told that wasn’t the case!

We’re studying the Gospel of Luke verse by verse, here at the present time, and as we return to chapter four, we have a look at the ministry of Christ. One would think that this would have been received and welcomed with open arms by everyone, but that wasn’t the case as we’re about to see. Some welcomed it and others rejected it! We join Pastor John now in the fourteenth verse of Luke chapter four.
