A single Mom is trying desperately to make ends meet, while raising her children for Christ. A husband just says good-bye to his wife of 50 years, and doesn’t think he can make it another day. A family experiences a financial collapse, and has to start over. These are just a few examples I could cite, of people facing what looks to be the impossible. Today on a Daily Walk we’ll be encouraged by the truth that nothing is impossible with God. With that in mind, we can and must trust Him in all things.

We’re just getting our study of Luke underway with pastor John Randall. We’ll frame today’s talk around chapter one and verses 26-56. Imagine having an angel from heaven deliver the news that you were going to give birth to the Savior of the World. Think you might be overwhelmed a bit? That’s exactly the news Mary is about to receive, and she was troubled by the news at first. But faithful in the end!

Pastor John Randall just kicked off our new study of Luke last time we were together, and today we revisit chapter one. I think we can all look back on our lives and think of a time where we felt like nothing was going on. Perhaps you felt as though you were in a barren wilderness and God was miles away. Or maybe you’re struggling with doubt big time? Today we’ll meet a godly couple, that observed the Lord’s commands blamelessly. But they were childless, and very old. Pastor John is about to relate this to our own experiences.

We’re going through Matthew right now with pastor John Randall, and in chapter three John the Baptist arrives on the scene. He was the important four-runner of Christ who in essence said it’s time to get right because the King is coming. You know, that’s the same message people need to hear today. The King is coming again, and it’s time to get right with God.

It’s part of our through the Bible journey. As you’ll soon see, it really emphasizes the humanity of Christ, like no other Gospel. Pastor John will start things off by pointing out the goal of the gospel as we dive into the first chapter.

Pastor John Randall will be along shortly. I really don’t have to tell you this, each and every one of us will experience death some sooner than others. That is unless Jesus raptures the church in our lifetime. But what you may not realize is that there’s an answer for death! Jesus died for our sins, and three days later rose from the grave and conquered death. Through faith in Him we can experience everlasting life as well. That’s a message we should not only receive and believe, but share every chance we get.

At the cross some 2,000 years ago Jesus was crucified and buried in a tomb. If the story ended there, we would have no hope. But the good news is, Jesus is alive and the tomb is empty. Today on a Daily Walk receive the invite to come and see the empty tomb and then go and tell someone about it! Pastor John Randall is going to finish up his study of Mark today and tomorrow and we end on a glorious note Resurrection!

Don’t you love the feeling of completing a long, hard job? You can look back on it with satisfaction, knowing it’s finished! Today on a Daily Walk we’re going to concentrate on three beautiful words from Jesus, spoken just before He died on the cross. They are, It is Finished! Sweeter words have never been spoken. And they communicate a great deal to us, that nothing more needs to be done by God or man, when it comes to salvation.
