On today’s show we’re taking a deep dive into cryptocurrencies with portfolio manager Reetu Kumra, and digital assets strategist Meghan Chen. Reetu and Megan look at the drivers of return for Bitcoin in the past, and also what’s driving Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies looking ahead – which includes institutional investor adoption, countries recognizing and accepting Bitcoin as legal tender, and investors looking for portfolio diversification or a store of value. Reetu and Megan also discuss risks and common criticisms, which stem from volatility driven by the uncertainty in Bitcoin’s value. One comparison for a store of value, is gold fluctuating in the 70’s and then stabilizing in the 80’s at it became more adopted.
