  • Summer Seasonal Affective Disorder with Dr. Vinay Saranga
When people talk about Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), it’s usually to refer to wintertime depression. What you might not know is that for some people, SAD can also apply to summertime depression. When most of us are looking forward to fun in the sun, for those who suffer from Summer-onset SAD, life can be anything but enjoyable. What are the symptoms?
Today's special guest, Vinay Saranga M.D., a psychiatrist and founder of Saranga Comprehensive Psychiatry says, “Reverse SAD is real. It’s not about being a party pooper. Summer depression can really bring some people down. The sun, to them, is utterly oppressive. It drains and exhausts them. They are energized on cloudy days. This type of exhaustion can isolate people and intensify feelings of sadness and anxiety.”
More specifically, Dr. Saranga says to look for: agitation, anxiety, fatigue, eating too much or too little, significant changes in weight, unexplained aches and pains, loss of interest in activities that usually bring pleasure, lack of motivation, depression, little to no optimism about things, lacking that zest you usually have, avoiding friends/family/social situations.

  • Recovering the Deleted Chapters of Think and Grow Rich with Monica Main
Not since the original publication of Think And Grow Rich in 1937 has there been a book that can revolutionize how an ordinary individual can manifest abundance, wealth, and happiness in every aspect of life.
The Lost Secret by today's special guest Monica Main provides both a distillation of key components of Think and Grow Rich and what Napoleon Hill and manifestation experts believe are the two lost chapters that were intended to be part of the 1937 edition. Monica believes that these two chapters were intentionally deleted by the Ralston Society, the original publisher, for being too advanced for readers of that era. These two chapters provide insights into the nature of vibrational manifestation in alignment with present day quantum physics that would have seemed ungrounded speculation in 1937.
Although it is impossible to prove through historical or scientific analysis that these two lost chapters were in fact written by Napoleon Hill, those most familiar with his writing and concepts are united in agreeing that the chapters themselves are full of exactly the advice and wisdom that completes the gift of the original Think And Grow Rich.
Together with the insights provided by author Monica Main, who has used these techniques to generate millions of dollars in wealth, this is one of the most extraordinary books ever published.
Monica Main is a serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of real-world experience in all types of businesses and investments. She has used unconventional wealth-attraction techniques to bet leverage her massive success; Having grown up in the Chicago suburbs int e 70's and 80's, adhering to the spiritual philosophy of Kriya Yoga, a Hindu-based form of wisdom she was able to blend these teachings with those of forward thinkers such as Napolean Hill. Since discovering the two Lost Chapters her life has taken a 180-degree in the best way possible.

  • The New Mindfulness Practice with Bodywork Expert Philip Shepherd
In a stressful, chaotic world, many people feel as though their brain is restless and they can’t get out of the cycle of their own thoughts. This is why today's special guest, author and bodywork expert Philip Shepherd developed a new mindfulness technique: The Embodiment Present Process, or TEPP. TEPP is a new style of mindfulness training, taking the focus from ‘listening to your body’ and shifting the focus toward listening to yourself through the actions and feelings within the body. For those who already practice some form of mindfulness training, such as meditation or yoga, this practice pairs perfectly to bring awareness and connection back to the individual and connect them with a higher purpose.
Philip Shepherd is recognized as an international authority on embodiment. His unique techniques have been developed to transform our experience of self and world, and are based on the vision articulated in his celebrated books, New Self New World and Radical Wholeness. The approach he takes heals the frantic, restless pace of the intelligence in the head, which tends to run on overdrive, by uniting it with the deep, present and calm intelligence of the body.  This is an antidote to the prevailing view of embodiment, which involves sitting in the head and ‘listening to the body’; by contrast, Philip’s approach helps us listen to the world through the body.
His personal path to understanding has been shaped by his adventures as a teenager, when he cycled alone through Europe, the Middle East, India and Japan; by his deep commitment to and studies of bodywork; by his experiences as an actor, playing lead roles on stages in London, New York, Chicago and Toronto; and by the burning desire for freedom that has illuminated his entire life.

  • How Adopting a Homeless Pet Can Save You Too with Carol Novello
“Rescue animals can give people the strength to face inconceivable pain,” says today's special guest Carol Novello, author of Mutual Rescue: How Adopting a Homeless Animal Can Save You Too.. “The structure and solace cats and dogs bring to addicts’ lives help ease the grip of their disease and offers them hope that a fresh start is possible.”
Carol Novello is the founder of Mutual Rescue™, a national initiative that highlights the connection between people and pets in order to inspire and support life-saving efforts in communities across the nation and world. Mutual Rescue’s first short film, “Eric & Peety,” went viral around the globe and has been viewed more than 100 million times. A former senior software executive at Intuit, Carol earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and is proud to include several rescue animals in her family. For more information, visit www.MutualRescue.org.
Mutual Rescue™ illustrates how rescuing animals impacts the lives of humans, often in quite profound ways. The lives of both people and pets are enriched when homeless animals are adopted and local shelter groups are supported through donations and volunteering in their communities. It's latest film, “Sarah & Domino,” illustrates this profound truth. It’s the story of a young woman who recovered from drug addiction with the help and love of her rescue dog.
Sarah’s experience is supported by research. A study conducted by Washington State University showed that boys in a substance abuse program who played and ran around with dogs for an hour every week had significantly less hostility and sadness than a similar group who had played video games or basketball.
