I looked into my children's eyes and saw complete terror. I just remember saying over and over, "We are okay, we are okay, we are going to be okay," not only did I find myself repeating this over and over but every ounce of myself felt that was true!

When caught in a storm, focus on the eye of the storm and remember...

Psalms 46:10

"God Shed His Grace On Me"

What does that mean to me?

God shed his grace, and blood for me, no matter my failures, imperfections, and impurities God shed his grace on me.

I was a little emotional this morning during the call as I reflected on yesterday's Sabbath services. The spiritual power was strongly felt as my community and family sang "America the Beautiful", then stood to bear their testimonies of Christ, and concluded boldly with "The Star-Spangled Banner". My heart swelled with the feelings of strength and power still left in those words and in our community, country, and families!

If there is any doubt in our country and the power left in it, visit a small country family farming community on the 4th of July. That community, those families will re-instill that faith in your soul. I know they did that for me.

I reflected on the previous 4th of July celebrations as a young mom, worried about my sleeping babies, scared pups, or the traumatized veterans during the loud firework celebrations that can sometimes last for weeks. I felt overwhelmingly blessed that it is simply a celebration and not an actual war.

Every night I get to feel safe in my home and bed because of the Christlike heroes before me that gave their life so that I could be free. Heroes like my husband, my father, and my grandfathers. Men that gave their life, and the heroic women who fought alongside them or stayed behind protecting our future, our children, our communities, and our families.

I am grateful for this country!

I am grateful for the war in Heaven that gave me this opportunity to come to Earth free to choose, and the war here on Earth that gave me another opportunity here in America of freedom. Freedom to be me, to learn, to grow, to experience along this journey of life.

America, The Beautiful,

God shed His grace on thee,

By Dawn's early Light,

When free men shall stand,

Between their loved homes,

And the war's desolation!

Blest with vict'ry and peace,

May the heav'n rescued land

Praise the Pow'r that hath made

and preserved us a nation!

This morning I awoke to no heat! My furnace had gone out throughout the night, but that was not all that was cold. My heart was hardening and growing cold about as quickly as my home... Day 3 of 2022.

Wow! I can already tell that this year is going to be one of the most influential and powerful years, yet!

You might ask, how I would know this. I know this because before midnight even hit on January 1st, 2022, I felt the fiery darts of the adversary flying into 2022. As if in a hurry to take me out at the start. Did you feel it? This year is a powerful year of upgrading and letting God prevail. The adversary is aware of our potential transformation this year, but we can and will win, with our Armor Up, Aligned, and Fortified!!!

I will admit I felt weakened by these darts, even on the verge of giving up. It has felt as if I have spent 3 days in spiritual Hell. I began to ask, "Is this what is to become of 2022? Have I no chance?"

The anxieties, fears, feelings of past hurts, doubts, and betrayals were all coming to the surface, and I began to feel broken, alone, and weak. Everything felt so heavy as if it was all crashing down, and all while hope of a new year should be shining... but I was lost in the darkness of the influence of the adversary. My heart was drawing cold, and I wasn't sure what to make of it. How would I ever win with 2022, now? I might as well throw in the towel...

But... could I blame it all on the adversary? Or did I ignite some of these darts with my own self-sabotage? Which part of my armor was weakened enough to let his poison seep in?

Let's re-evaluate...

1. Sugar intake increased ❌
2. Water intake decreased ❌
3. Scripture study & prayer at a minimum ❌
4. Doubt in and of my purpose ❌
5. Essential Oil usage decreased ❌
6. Forgiveness of Self & Others paused or even reversed ❌
7. Hatred, sad to admit, entered my soul and my heart began to draw cold ❌

I was on a downward spiral... and my Armor was beginning to feel... Heavy!

Then something happened...

Silently, I asked... what is one simple thing I could do to begin to feel strong in my armor again? This is what came to me... Listen to your story.

Keeping your Armor strong takes a 1. foundation in Christ, 2. commitment & 3. preparation so "... that when the devil shall send his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall" Helaman 5:12.

Question: How can I prepare?

1. Have your story pre-recorded and ready to go so that you can simply put in headphones, push play, and listen on repeat. ✅
2. Surrounded yourself with other strong people & mentors. Family and friends will pray for you and you pray for them. ✅
3. Have a good, sad movie on your watchlist, and have it ready for the moments when in need of a good cry. ✅
4. Have a good, positive music playlist ready to go! ✅
5. Have your favorite essential oil blends Quick, Easy, & Ready and Nearby. ✅
6. Always keep Fresh Vegetables in your fridge, and vitamins & water ready. ✅
7. A Habit made to easily Forgive Self and Others. ✅
8. Create a gratitude journal habit and keep it close by. You can easily create this as a list on your phone. ✅
9. Have a scheduled commitment to serve someone daily, weekly, or monthly to get you out of a funk quickly! Have it on your calendar and tell others to help keep you accountable. ✅

I invite you to leave all the toxicities, hurts, and fears from the past in 2021 and release yourself...

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has chosen to Armor UP with me this last year. It was an amazing experience with each of you and I am so excited to level up this year and for some amazing things and surprises to come about all year long. I have some things on my mind and in store for this next year!

This year will be the year I graduate with my Bachelor's Degree in Home and Family Studies and I will be really able to dive in even deeper with all of you Armoring Up and taking this to the next level on our path and purpose. I am going to teach you more great things I have learned along this journey and some of those involve learning your strengths, and anchoring those in, and fortifying your Armor!
