A lot of life has happened since August 2021. A soul shift has lead me to this point. From a National title, to a cancer diagnosis - fear crept in and kept me from sharing and following my purpose. A fear of imperfection. God doesn't want our perfect performance. He wants our complete worship. So here I am, unedited and sharing life "in between" the highlight reel. It's where real life is lived.

Her smile lit up the room. The pain and purpose behind her eyes pulled me in like a magnet. I met Sherma Chambers in Miami who also attended Swim Week to speak on a panel about our mission to give back to our communities and what lead us to do so. Sherma spoke first and in a very brief introduction I learned of the tragic, senseless murder of her 21 year old son, Tyler less than a year ago. Sherma has united forces with her family and community to share a message and mission to the youth. Her message isn't one of revenge or hate. Instead she is fueled by the fierce love of a Mother to help the children see what choices and decisions can do for their own lives and the lives of all of those around them. She shares a message of compassion and hope. We all get to choose our path in life.
