This week, in a special listener-written episode, we head back to the late 1990's, and to the medieval city of Chester, as we recount the final hours of father of two Alan Morris.

On 30 December 1998, Alan had been out with his partner, Jane Rowe, and their friend, Nigel Jones, enjoying a few drinks at a local pub.

During an altercation at a Chinese restaurant at approximately 11:30pm, Alan and Jayne argued briefly. That argument continued when they got home. As Jayne went upstairs for 30 seconds in the early hours of 31 December, Alan was brutally stabbed to death outside the house.

Just who was responsible for his murder? And why would anyone want to execute a loving family man in cold blood? Join us as we attempt to unravel what really happened on that fateful night.
