  • Meditation, Enlightenment & Kindness

    — Be kind, be kind

It's not that hard to be nice

  • Functional Medicine: Healing The Root Cause Of Disease

    — The goal of functional medicine is to find the root cause of disease using science-based methods. All symptoms are considered interrelated in the functional medicine model, since the body is viewed as an integrated whole. Therefore, a problem in one part of the body does not simply affect that part, but also affects other parts. In functional medicine, genetics, diet, lifestyle, and environment are taken into consideration, along with their interaction with the various body systems. A natural state of equilibrium or balance is restored to the body by identifying and treating its root cause. In contrast to conventional medicine, which treats symptoms largely without addressing the underlying problem, this method is radically different.

Valeria interviews Dr. Leke Asong — He is the author of "How To Stay Ahead Of Your Doctor And Influence Your Health: Simple, Practical and Effective Insider Tips to Utilize the Healthcare System to Your Advantage and Stay Healthy."

Dr. Leke Asong is a practicing NHS General Practitioner (Family Dr), Functional Medicine Doctor and Wellness Consultant from England, UK.

For years he suffered from poor gut and overall health.

He saw the best specialists in different fields, but he was told everything was normal-None had the answers.

On starting GP training, Dr. Leke Asong quickly realized there were many patients in his position who were suffering despite having normal blood tests and scans.

That's when he was convinced conventional medicine did not have all the answers, specifically with regard to chronic diseases.

This set he on a relentless journey not only to fix his health but also the health of his patients.

Along Dr. Leke Asong's journey, he discovered functional medicine, a science-based model that seeks to find the root cause of disease. In the end, he fixed his gut and overall health. In order to share what he has learned and help NHS patients, he wrote the book titled How To Stay Ahead of Your Doctor and Influence Your Health. Dr. Leke Asong also launched Gut Health Medic, an online website where he sees patients with difficult-to-treat gut and related disorders. He plans to launch Wellness Programs via Gut Health Medic in the next few months. Dr. Leke Asong is also an inventor, with products mainly in the kitchen space.

  • Tools For Successful Parenting: Saving You The Trial And Error

    — The discipline of parenting has no shortcuts. You must show up. You must do the work. Like any other area of your life, discipline results in progress, and a lack of discipline results in regret. The goal is not to find shortcuts, because you still need to show up and you still need to do the work. Chris offers you tools to communicate and physically intervene. These tools have reliably worked for him, his colleagues, and his staff over the past 15 years, in all five boroughs of New York City, and with hundreds of his students. This has been true whether Chris worked in homes, clinics, hospitals, or schools. He offers consistently successful techniques. Through his charity, Chris Lake remains committed to doing all he can to help those in New York who are without a voice and all those who are in need of support. In looking to expand his ability to provide for families of children with Autism, he wrote his book "Help Your Toddler Meet Their Milestones" to give families and providers a time-tested blueprint of how to develop children using evidence-based practice. A portion of all book proceeds goes towards preventing and alleviating childhood lead poisoning.

  • How To Live An Intentional Life

    — "My hereditary condition has often humbled me, tested me, and provided me with the ultimate perspective to see my life's challenges in an entirely new way. I'm living on borrowed time, and I don't want to waste it. I have spiritually obligated myself to share my story and to inspire others to accomplish their dreams and to live life fully. As well as to continue employing thousands in remote jobs. The more I can make a meaningful impact in other people's lives, the more I can feel worthy of all my second chances. The more I make my life count while I am alive, the less I worry about how long I live. My mindset has significantly improved my health over multiple extreme adversities. I really can't emphasize that point enough— our mind has the power to heal us. When you can control your mind and develop a strong mindset, you can reinvent yourself, you can change, and you can accomplish one dream after another and improve your odds in overcoming tough times." ~~~ Chris

  • All Healing Is Self-Healing — Reconnect To Your Natural State Of Bliss

—" It would be much easier for us to heal ourselves if we were still connected to our natural state of bliss. When we are born, we arrive free and clear of fear that we aren't good enough or unlovable. Nothing has yet happened in our environment or experience to implant this message (although there are rare occasions when imprints happen in utero). This is our pre-wounded self who never questioned our lovability or our has only been treated with love. They are truly a bundle of joy! That is our natural state and our birthright. But when we are wounded, we all experience living in an imperfect world, and we can lose that open, blissful, and loving state of being and spend the rest of our lives searching for it or trying to earn or buy it back. The problem is that most people are looking in all the wrong places when the state we're looking for is already inside of us and always has been. We only need to look within. "- TJ
