There is a time each year when the air grows thick with the perfume of blooming jasmine and sun-warmed earth. A time when the days stretch long into golden evenings and the world slows just enough to be savored. This time, in a quiet lakeside village called Maribell, was known simply as Summer.

Not just a season, but a feeling. A hum beneath the skin. A return.

In Maribell, the summers were slow and sacred. Children ran barefoot through fields of tall grass. Old men played chess beneath the sycamore tree. Mothers carried laundry in woven baskets and hung it beneath the sun, watching it dance on the line like prayers stitched in cotton.
