  • S3E16 - So Pure? Purity Culture: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
So Pure??? Purity Culture is a topic we’ve never really talked about on the show but has definitely played a part in our lives. We caught a TikTok discussing how the young girls who decided to be “pure” and “in church” aren’t getting “wifed” like the party girls who fornicate lol. So, this week we talked about the effects of being told to “be pure” has had on us, the good, the bad, and the ugly parts. If we think “being pure” is the reason some women aren’t in happy, long relationships or if there are other reasons. Listen, how being “pure” defined one of us is a crazy ass story that includes purity rings and purity contracts and there’s a question about what a middle school principal of a Christian school is supposed to do with the condom in the sealed envelope? Give us your thoughts! Cheers!

  • S3E15- Social Media Week
"Please Stop” “Bish Whet” & “Truuueee” are some of the reactions we have while on social media. See what got those reactions this time!

We haven’t done a good Social Media Week in so long that we actually missed it, so we had to bring you some craziness! The most interesting topic that’s been everywhere is the trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. We give our take on what’s happening between the infamous former couple and let’s just say Justice for Johnny! This week Social Media gave us a first: Waffle Stomp. When y’all listen, you’ll see why it was a first and we had to say “Bish Whet?!” We also had a mix of “Please Stop” and “Bish Whet?!” when a man cancelled a 4-day trip over $100. We also had a great debate on which friend we’re choosing: the “my man is calling, I leaving” friend or the “I’m bringing my man tonight for girls night” friend. Let us know your thoughts! Cheers!

  • S3E13 - Why You Always Lyin
This week we came across a thread about the different lies men have told women. So we had to chat about the different lies we’ve heard and different lies we’ve actually told. Jame said “If Black men don’t cheat, Black women don’t lie” 😊 Our producer KB kept score on the craziest lies told between men and women so no worries! This episode, we realized how gullible we might be: one lie was the bra a women found was actually his as a reminder of how fat he used to be. We debated how this could be true y’all smh. The lies in this thread were out of this world but we had a good time. Please tell us the best lie you’ve been told and almost believed! Cheers!

  • S3E14 - 420 with The Jive DC
How do 2 people who don’t participate in 4/20 celebrate 4/20? We have a guest who has their own infused cannabis treats line come on it! The Founder and CEO of The Jive DC, Wu, joined us this week to not only have a good time with us but teach us a little bit! He has over 50 different products including juices, gummies, candies, honey, cookies, shisha, honey, and walnut oil. Have you ever heard of walnut oil?? Wu tells us why he started the Jive DC and how they’ve helped both him and the ‘Culture!’ We couldn’t let him leave without a little ASAAS fun so we had to get his comments on the TikTok video about women being disobedient and not listening. You’d be surprised who actually agreed with the video! Cheers!

  • S3E12 - That's Toxic
“What is the difference between a child saying, “he started it” and adults saying “I match energy” This question was a gut punch to our resident ‘Tit-for-tat’ person and also started our conversation about what is toxic, what is petty, and many different excuses for both! VJ’s “If you don’t tit I don’t tat” and Jame’s “where is the accountability” led to our poppin chatroom agreeing and disagreeing with levels of toxicity the hosts can sometimes have. It wasn’t all bad – we discussed how matching energies can be both a good and bad thing.
We could not let the day go by without talking about the slap heard around the world. When you listen, you’ll get all of our opinions and we learned something new about the slap… apparently the joke wasn’t about the hair.
We had a little debate on the most toxic rapper people don’t realize is toxic: Fabolous. One
of us thinks he’s the most and the other doesn’t. We had a good time like normal! Cheers!

  • S3E11 - Sips & Savings
Our guest this week is Jayden Doye’, CPA, the CEO of Prestige Accounting Solutions. After many years of differing accounting roles and clients telling him they’re waiting on him, Jayden decided to step out and start his own firm. We asked Jayden what he thought was something most people don’t know about regarding accounting and taxes. He told us about the difference between tax preparation and tax planning and how it’s important for financial freedom to plan. We also learned the importance of working with a CPA, if you can really write off those red-bottoms, and to stop using the HAP Method *wink*. Jayden also answered some chatroom questions about the best way to plan a business trip, the different retreats he hosts, and some more tips and tricks. One of the biggest takeaway’s is don’t be afraid to make money and live a life a luxury! Thank you Jayden!! Cheers!

  • S3E10 - Poly-Hood Relationships
First up: Happy Pi Day and Happy St. Patrick’s Day! We wanted to make sure we had a Sip and Shot ready to celebrate both occasions! We had to start with a quick catch up because Jame was in Miami and it was VJ’s B-day weekend! This week, we started our conversation about polygamy with questioning whether you should inform your partner you are “surprising” him/her with a 3rd party and then realized we were talking about 2 different things. Polygamy is choosing to be in a significant relationship with more than one partner. Here are a few of our takeaways from both us and our chatroom – polygamy is not infidelity, polygamy is what’s best for us, there is a preference multiple husbands. We had fun this week y’all! Cheers!

  • S3E9 -Another Table Talk?!
It's VJ's birthday week and we had to celebrate a little bit! A year makes a hell of a difference! But on to this weeks topic: Another Table Talk?! There is a question floating around from BOYS that a lot of women would like to come to an end: "What do you bring to the table?" We discuss whether this is a good first date question, SPOILER ALERT: IT'S NOT! why we hate being asked this question, and why the question makes ZERO sense. We also had to ask if this is a young person conversation on social media only or if there are men in real life asking this. Take a listen to hear all of our answers to this foolish question in the only ASAAS can! Cheers!

Happy Mardi Gras! Not only is it Social Media Week but we also had a special guest tonight! Mike Lee from Sankofa Bottling Company joined us! Mike shares with us how he and his family started Sankofa Bottling Company and why they chose to start with Gin! Let us tell you, the Sankofa Bottling Company Gin is amazing! Not often can you put the words “Gin” and “smooth” in the same sentence – but with this one you can! Mike also joined in on Social Media Week and discussed what QOTD we found: At what point is it ok to take where a bonnet at your man’s house? We had a good time with this one y’all! Happy National Margarita Day! One of our favorite cocktails has a national day so we just had to bring our friend James Glendinning back to celebrate! And he came bearing gifts! This episode was up the 'Sippin History' aisle! We enjoyed discussing the history of rum, gin, and whiskey which has a rich and deep connection to Black History! James came with more than new alcohol to try but also information on Black owned Liquor Stores and spirits and wines in the DMV area. We always have a great time and learn so much with James! Cheers!
