Happy Valentine's Day! ASAAS Monday actually fell on Valentine's Day this year so if you thought you didn't have a date, YOU THOUGHT WRONG lol! We wanted this episode to be fun one so why not play "Truth or Drink - the Card Game" and use the 'Extra Dirty' deck! It is Valentine's day after all. This included questions like: "have you ever feared for your life while drinking?" (One of the fears included blood on the walls and a missed opportunity with a crush) "what would it take to sleep with someone you're not physically attracted to" let's just it has to be Tinder Swindler status. Some other questions included "have you done butt stuff," "can you be seduced by my hot mom/dad, and our personal favorite: "Describe your sex life with a movie title." Just know Idlewild was thrown out there! Cheers!

The Sip: Forbidden Rose & The Shot: Candy Rose

Happy Black History Month! To celebrate, we wanted to talk about some unsung heros in our history and we had to do it the 'ASAAS' way which means we Sip while we share! First up, we talked about Lusia "Lucy" Harris, who is the 1st woman drafted into the NBA. Next up, we discussed Dr. Helen Jackson, a true unknown hero who chose to give up an astronaut candidacy to homeschool her children and help legalize homeschool programs. We did some research on the history of Black bartenders and the first known/recorded Black bartender Mr. Tom Bullock. The highlight was finally being able to talk about one of Jame's favorite cowboys Bass Reeves, the first black deputy U.S. marshal west of the Mississippi River. So much history we didn't know about but love learning about! Cheers!

The Sip: NY Whiskey Sour & The Shot: Kinky Shirley Temple

Let us start by saying: we pre-gamed for this episode. Take that into consideration. 'Circling the Block' we just learned, has many meanings, but for this episode we are discussing coming back to a person you were FORMALLY in a relationship, situation-ship, sneaky link, etc with. This conversation started with the question why do men, specifically, spin the block but we made sure to question the ladies too! What makes us send and/or accept those: "Hey Big Head," or "Hey Stranger" texts. We also talked about which one of us have circled the block ... well "initiated the circling of the block" and who can do it. Spoiler alert: it depends on how they left the 'block' LOL. Somehow we ended up in a conversation about catching feelings and how not to! This was a rollercoaster of an episode y'all LOL. Cheers!

The Sip: The Repeat Offender& The Shot: Crouching Tiger - Happy Lunar New Year

January is Mental Wellness Awareness Month and we thought what better way to acknowledge AND bring awareness is by having our friend Jensy, who is a therapist, join us! Jensy, our Millennial Therapist, explained what exactly Mental Wellness is and how to not confuse it with Mental Health Awareness. Therapy, and/or getting professional help has been taboo in our community but is not only being discussed more but moving to more acceptance. We discussed our journey with therapy and what led to going - life happens. Jensy also gave advice on why it's important and some encouraging words. Now, we wouldn't be ASAAS without some spiciness and Jensy is a 'part-time Hot Girl' so we had to get her opinion on some ish like these men giving women advice on being women LOL. Yes we jumped into that! If you have some advice to give or encouraging words to give therapy a chance and being a better version of yourself, please let us know! Cheers!

The Sip: Dr. Sam's Tea and The Shot: Winter Sun

Our first guest of the year was James Glendinning and he was the PERFECT start to a fantastic season! James is a beverage marketing representative in the DMV area that Jamie met and invited to the show! First, we had to talk about what that actually means and how he began his career in the industry. We also discussed how he launches different brands, what goes into the evaluation process and How many of our favorites brands started (hint it involves women or money or both).
He represents many, and we mean MANY of the smaller alcohol brands and was able to share a few that are actually in the DMV area. We had so much fun discussing different wines, liqueurs, whiskeys, and our personal favorite Cognac! The ‘Wine Guy’ James gave us so many fun facts and little known stories like what a “Death in the Afternoon” cocktail is and how it got its name. One word: WILD!

From his knowledge of many spirits to his great stories to go along, we learned so much!! You guys are gonna love this one! Cheers 🥂

Season 3 is here! We are so excited to start this new year and season with you! To open the season, we had to start with what we've been up to during the 'by-week' (for all of our sports fans lol). This holiday season was very quiet and we discuss how this is most different we have celebrated a New Year. With New Years comes resolutions, so we wanted to share some of the podcasts goals for the year and yall we have a LOT planned! 
There was one messy thing we had to chit chat about that occurred during the 'by-week': Khloe and Tristan. We will leave it there and let you all listen for that hot take!
January is Mental Wellness Awareness Month, so we will be making sure all of you think about your mental wellness. Like we said, we have a LOT for Season. Y'all ready?! Cheers!

This is the last Christmasy episode of the year yall! So we had to pose this question: when do you bring your significant other around friends and family? Is it an either or? Is the holiday better or a summer cookout? How long do you have to be dating? Everyone has a different opinion, meaning there is no right answer. As Jame says: “you do what works for you” she said that also because we started on a topic we needed a quick getaway from lol. After the break we talked about the best meme of the holiday season: the Rent a Bae Packages! We got a few offers too lol. We ended this episode with the naughty and nice lists and because we were on the nice list, we gave our Christmas lists too lol!

It's our first LIVE show with Plugged In Radio Network so we had to give y'all a fun topic. No Face, No Case was as fun as it sounds! We discussed a few things: how no face no case started for us - from college parties and photographers LOL, what a man's version of NFNC is and how distinguishing marks play a big part (shout out to our producer!), and why do we want to hide the faces. Then we asked if we're taking the NFNC to new relationships - would we want to publicize relationships pre-ring?
