Assyrian Cultural Association in Sydney held the tribute ceremony on Friday 29 Nov 2019 at Assyrian Sports and Cultural Club.

Mr Andros Hermez, Vice President of the Association said "Our students have gone through a difficult period in their lives after being displaced from their home country and left school for years before settling in Australia,".
He added that their efforts to overcome the obstacles of language, alienation, and their ability to complete their university studies, deserve the recognition they received.
