People readily recognize alcohol or drug addiction but sex addiction is still very much in the shadows. On top of that, pornography is seldom seen as a problem in our society.  

Addictions are unique mental illnesses.  They are centered on pleasure.  Porn addiction is no exception.  Is there any effective antidote to such a disease? 

Honesty with others is a struggle with any addiction and porn addiction is no exception.  What about honesty to self? What does it look like? And why is it important to be honest to self? 

Just because we started to act out does not mean we have to continue down that path.  We really have the power to stop at any time.  

Porn is not meant to solve real life problems.  Just like snickers is not meant to replace nutritious food.  

Pornography changes the way we look at women.  This creates a constant clash of values in how we interact with our fellow human beings.  

Recovery from porn addiction does not happen overnight.  Its easy to give up hope if we don't internalize this fact.
