  • Ep 007: Is Time or Money More Valuable to You?
This week I am asking you to think about what's more important, time or money? My guess is the older you are, the more you value your time. Maybe it's because you come to be more self-aware of your own mortality (and a global pandemic hasn't helped!) or perhaps you already have the money and the stuff you need. If you're younger you maybe still aspire to have your dream job, dream car, dream home, and all the things you need more money to buy.

These of course are generalisations, so whatever stage of your life you are in, and whatever matters most to you, this episode will help you understand your prioritise your life in a way that works best for you.

  • Ep 006: Conscious Spending v Unconscious Consumerism
Do you ever find yourself buying things you don't need? Perhaps you're prone to impulse purchases in the supermarket, or in-game purchases on your phone, or maybe you like the occasional gamble?

I am going to show you how to work out the real impact of those little purchases, so you can make informed decisions about what you buy to avoid that dreaded buyer's guilt!

  • Ep 005: Setting Up Your Goals to Win, and Falling in Love with a Spreadsheet
Spreadsheets are a bit like marmite – you either love them or hate them. But in the episode I want to show you why spreadsheets can really help you manage your money and put your goals into perspective.

This is not about being realistic, because who wants realistic goals?! This is about grounding those goals in realism, and often a spreadsheet can paint a picture with numbers. Do you want to be a millionaire by the time you're 30? Well, a good spreadsheet will help you see how that is possible and, maybe, if you should re-evaluate those goals to avoid future disappointment.

Spreadsheets are a wonderful thing, so don't get past trauma of maths homework put you off!

  • Ep 004: Wealthy v Rich - What Does A Wealthy Life Mean to You?
Do you want to be wealthy or do you want to be rich?

Perhaps you want both, and there's no right answer, but there is certainly a difference. In this episode I help you refocus your understanding of wealth. Because when you really get what being wealthy means, you can start to build a picture of what a wealthy life looks like for you.

Throughout this episode I take a look at some of my clients, and how their own situations have been transformed from working with me.

I also share the importance of 3.33 and why you should be implementing your own daily success alarm, so that you can start holding yourself accountable and taking the steps you need towards the wealthy life you want.

  • Ep 003: What Would You Do if You Didn't Have to Work Just to Pay the Bills?
If money was no issue, what would you do with your life? Some of you may still work, but if you didn't have bills to pay, would you stay in the same job? Most of us only have the lives we have because of our financial commitments – the mortgage, the car, the kids. But maybe there's a way you can take steps towards the happy, wealthy life you want.

In this episode, I show you how you can manage your money to plan to buy the things you want, not just pay for the things you need. It's not always about working harder, or even working smarter – I'm going to help you realise that sometimes it's about working less.

  • Ep 002: How Clear Are You About How Much Money is Coming Into Your Household?
Do you have a person in your household in charge of the money?

That person who pays the bills and does the budgets so you don't have to?

According to research from the Money and Pension Service (MAPS), 48% of people worry about money. So many people find it difficult to talk about money with their partners or family, and this can often lead to long-term issues.

If you're one of those people, you probably also let the other person get on with it. You ignore it because 'you're not a numbers person' or you just bury your head in the sand and assume it'll be taken care of.

    Sound like you?

Well in this episode I'm going to show you why it's so important to talk about money with your family, and how it will lead to happier, and financially healthier lives.

  • Ep 001: Status, Work and Money - Is Your Life Driven by Your Job Title?
When we meet a stranger, most of us will break the ice by asking 'what do you do for a living'? But unconsciously, with this question, we enable ourselves to make broad judgements about each other based on nothing more than a job title.

In this first episode of A Wealthy Life, I am diving straight into how our lives are shaped so much by the need for high status and important job titles – often at the expense of our own wellbeing.

This desire for status can lead us to fear change, or even retirement!

Combined with the financial pressures of providing for yourself and your family, it's so easy to get trapped in a job because of the title, even if it makes you miserable.

I'm here to reassure you that you don't have to do this alone. It's ok to talk about money, and it's ok to ask for help, because your time and happiness is worth so much more than title or salary.
