A Word in Season with Doug Stringer

As followers of Jesus, we cannot be beholden to the Donkey Party or the Elephant Party. We must choose to express and stand for biblical convictions under the government of the Lamb and the Lion. The only unshakable kingdom is the Kingdom of the Lord, and we the Church must still love each other in our disagreements if we are to help others find their place in the Kingdom. Join Doug on this episode as he shares the long view, as we move beyond election 2020.

Doug invites Natasha Miller to A Word In Season to share about The Haggai Project and her book, Praying What Jesus Says. Many believers have forgotten what Jesus said. They quote other people, create individualized dogmas from their experiences, and misattribute quotes to Him. In response, Natasha penned this book to help the believer's spiritual palate realign with God and His Word. The primary goal of The Haggai Project is to build one million believers as Houses of Prayer. Join us today to hear more!

Many things have created division within the Church throughout history, but none has been more polarizing than the upcoming 2020 election. If we, as Christians, will unite in prayer, in love for one another, and in reaching out to others in spite of our disagreements, we will represent Christ to a hurting world. Doug Stringer and Dan Bernard, Somebody Cares Tampa Bay, discuss what it will take to bring the Church together and prepare for the revival that is coming – regardless of who wins the election!

We are at a crossroad, as the Church and as a nation, to choose a life of no compromise. In this episode, Doug explores the Apostle Paul’s warning in 1 Corinthians 10, that the people of God cannot partake from both the table of the Lord and the table of demons. We must be lovesick for the Lord which will allow us to give vision to a generation that is hopeless and struggling. Let’s choose to live by holy conviction rather than personal preference!
