Bryce Harper returned to the Philadelphia Phillies earlier than expected and helped them win 2 out of 3 games this weekend against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Phillies were winners of 6 games in a row before losing the series finale to the Pirates Sunday afternoon. College Football returned this weekend as Week 0 kicked off. The first week of the college football season has started and it did not disappoint with a huge BIg Ten upset when Northwestern beat Nebraska in Ireland. We take a look at two of the top conferences SEC and Big Ten and give our best betting predictions. The Last four national champions have been from the SEC. The clear cut favorites are Alabama and Georgia. While it looks as if Georgie is rebuilding, Alabama looks to be clearly just retooling. Alabama are returning 5 offensive starters and 7 defensive starters. Georgia are returning just 3 defensive starters and 7 offensive starters. There is no wonder why Alabama and Georgia are one and two national champion betting favorites. The Big Ten is really Ohio State and who else. Ohio State is absolutely loaded and led by Heisman Trophy Finalist and favorite C.J Stroud. Ohio State has all its tough games at home this year. Even though Michgan shook up the division last year and won the Big Ten championship , The Buckeyes have won 25 straight conference games at home by an average of 30.9 points per game. Michigan will have a tough test there in the finale.

The NFL regular season is right around the corner and the Preseason is in full swing. The Philadelphia Eagles have been impressive so far during their games against the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns. Bryce Harper is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment that could lead to his return next Monday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. With just over 30 games left in the season, will Harper be what this team needs to stay in the MLB Playoffs?

The Philadelphia Eagles had a formidable Day 1 joint practice with the Miami Dolphins. As expected, Tyreek Hill set it off on the first play of One on Ones versus Big Play Slay. Legs got tangled, ankles sprained and Slay took the brunt of it with Hill catching the pass. That set the tone for the rest of the dayThe Eagles' secondary had trouble keeping pace with Tyreek Hill all day. Conversely, AJ Brown and Davonta Smith were ripping holes in the Dolphins' secondary so it would seem like both offenses had a good day. Both teams went back and forth with the Defensive line of both teams making plays. Haason Reddick registered 2 sacks on the day and Jordan Davis gave the Dolphins' O-Line a bit of trouble up the middle. Overall, most would argue that the Dolphins won the day. Both Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa both threw the ball well but seemed a little short on 2 pivotal plays. In the play when Slay got hurt, he had a good position on Hill when he went down. Hill had to stop and catch the ball. If Slay would’ve stayed upright that was a PBU. Jalen Hurts threw a deep ball to DeVonta Smith down the middle. Smith had his man beat with separation but the underthrown ball forced him to go up and get it. If Jalenleads Smith with the throw it’s a touchdown. The Dolphins were scheduled to practice with the Eagles today as well, however, the Dolphins have canceled the joint practice due to several players dealing with some sort of stomach bug. Head Coach Nick Sirianni says that none of the Eagles are showing any symptoms. The Eagles instead will practice on their own at the Miami facility ahead of Saturday's NFL Preseason finale against the Dolphins.
