Welcome to our very first guest of the new year: Kathy Selim (insta: @lovekathyxo)! Kathy is the owner of Private Party Agency (insta: @prvtprtyagency) and was kind enough to talk to us about the grieving process she has been through after the loss of her beloved mother (it's our first half-orphan, listeners!). Tune in and hear all about how these real life happenings are never anything like they are in the movies!
A sweet little solo episode to catch up after a few weeks off finding some holiday spirit, some rest and some reflection... then this year took off at a break-neck pace, so join us while we discuss the myriad feelings we are having about all that has happened already in 2021...welcome!
Here's PART 2 of our big-ole-holiday-solo-special, coming to your ears right in time for some NYE celebrating, reminiscing, laughing and healing. Wishing you and yours' a very Happy New Year!
This week we are bringing it back to basics with a set of solo-episodes. We present you a two-part, two week special counting down our Twelve Days of Grief-mas (yeah, we did that). We're gonna talk about some of the specific experiences that come with grief and orphan-hood (12 of them, actually...but maybe a few more because, you know, we get talking). We wish you a very happy holidays and please, pat yourself on the back for all you've made it through. You are remarkable. And you are not alone.
This week's episode features fantastic friend of the pod and fellow orphan Kate Orsini. Kate is a born story teller (which is why we are so thankful she is an actor and a writer) and listening to her talk about her family's experience with grief, loss and mental health issues is one you'll want to hear. We had a few technical difficulties (it was our first time and we did our best) but stick with us and enjoy! ----more---- Instagram: @abandonmentissuespod Twitter: @abandonmentpod

In this episode, we have the pleasure of talking with fellow orphan, actor and Brit: Dionne Neish (@bustybloom). Despite having had our parental loss experiences on opposite sides of the ocean, there was much common ground about the moving through, how we now embrace living differently and the irritability of grief. Grab a cuppa. And let's get into it. ----more---- Instagram: @abandonmentissuespod Twitter: @abandonmentpod Dionne Neish Socials: Instagram/Twitter - @bustybloom
