Here is a special previously recorded episode that was archived, and thanks to quarantine we are bringing it out! If you haven't heard of the Dyatlov Pass Incident, you are in for a major head spinning unsolved mystery. In 1959, the frozen bodies of 9 hikers were found after they had gone missing weeks earlier after setting off on an expedition in the northern Urals of the Soviet Union. Their campsite, which they were found near, was on a mountain called Kholat Syakhl, which translates to "Dead Mountain" in the indigenous Mansi language. Investigators were completely baffled by what they found, and to this day the gruesome state of their bodies, strange injuries, and the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been able to be explained. We would love to hear your thoughts on this one.

Welcome back! For some reason this episode has taken us a couple of weeks to put together. Our equipment was being funky, the program we use was being funky, WE were being funky. Something must have been out to try to stop us, but alas, here it is - Shadow People. The dark figure you see from the corner of your eye that disappears when you turn to look at it. Something that is described as lying somewhere between the spirit world and the physical. Are they connected to sleep paralysis, locations with dark pasts, those who open their energies to seeing them? We aren't sure, but we talk about it and come to a freaky realization and mini melt-down about our own experience that we shared with a shadow person years ago. 

Lions and tigers, and... missing husbands? If you haven't checked out the Tiger King docuseries on Netflix yet (you should), we know you have definitely been hearing a lot of the names Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin. This wild story (train wreck) of exotic pet trade, animal abuse, polygamy, cults, an epic feud, revenge, and alleged murder for hire has sent us down the rabbit hole(s). One story line this series only touched upon has stirred up enough buzz to call for the reopening of a cold case of a man named Don Lewis, who went missing under mysterious circumstances in 1997. At the time of his disappearance, Don happened to be married to one of the most infamous people in this series - Carole Baskin. And while the series definitely hints at the clouded suspicion hanging over Carole, we were still left with way more questions than answers, so we decided to dive in to this. Listen to us break it down.

Bryce Laspisa was last seen on August 30, 2013, after displaying odd behavior in the days leading up to his disappearance. His car was found overturned off an embankment near Castaic Lake, CA, and blood hounds could only track him to a truck stop nearby. With so many questions still unanswered almost 7 years later, the only hope is to keep his story alive and continue to share until some one who may know something reports it.

25 year old Kevin Bacon left his house on Christmas Eve to meet with some one he met on a dating app, only to be found murdered in the home of that person days later.

This case touched us not only as parents, but as human beings with compassion who cannot comprehend how one person can do something like this to another. Kevins life was stolen from him, and the lives of his family and friends will surely never be the same.

We hope that by keeping Kevin's story out there, that not only can justice be served in the only form we can hope for, but that awareness can help to stop this from happening to some one else, or that changes can be made to protect others in the future.

UPDATE: this podcast was recorded before the release of 911 calls related to the man charged with Kevins murder from the two months preceding. We decided to add the audio of these calls in after our initial recording because we feel they are important to hear, and that if these calls were handled differently that Kevin could still be alive today.
