Aboard the Opal Star

Someone has snuck up on the party and they react quickly. Thankfully, Vae recognizes her old associate Scarecrow (played by Benjamin Drury of Lawful Great Adventures) before he is killed. Kai was forced to flee the Federation after attempting to investigate the creation of the Ashenguard, a curiosity sparked by the sight of Anima soon after her arrival. Since then, he has been in hiding on Euria 7. He caught the signal the party was chasing and snuck up on them to figure out what they were doing. They explain some of the situation and convince him to help them find the Basilisk.

Stavias goes to speak with Spectra about their place on this ship and her theories on the Basilisk. Spectra, in turn, asks them about the falling out with their father.

Vae verifies information with Spectra and let's slip that this isn’t the first time she’s seen a ship full of people disappear.

Anima asks Spectra if they will get to speak with someone from Nova Station since she remembers Dottie getting hired by them. Then she asks who Jin is, which leads to a conversation about the mysterious signal Spectra has been chasing.

Then they land on Euria 7 and start the long walk to the last known location of the Basilisk.

The crew gathers for dinner and Spectra gets a request from a friend to clarify some data. That data ends up revealing the location of a long lost ship, the Basilisk. Spectra agrees to help her friend recover the ship in exchange for splitting the credit for the discovery.

The crew finishes their background checks and the interview process, and they decide to let Bal and Stavias join on a temporary basis.

Meria leaves to take care of some personal business, choosing to stay behind to lend a hand with the mess Trigger left behind.

Bal and Stavias say goodbye to their friend Dandelion while Vae and Anima have a heart-to-heart about the shadows in Vae’s past.

Then everyone settles into their new rhythms aboard the Opal Star.

The party is dropped off near Cynfrith’s location and together they hatch a plan to catch him unaware. The plan goes off without a hitch and they are able to secure him, rob him, and then humiliate him. Spectra comes to pick them up afterwards and is impressed by their skills, taking the ride back to see what Vae and Anima think of their new friends. Meanwhile, Bal and Stavias discuss their potential new job.

Stavias and Bal arrive for a meeting with Ms. Yellow when they meet Vae and Anima, who are waiting for word on when the Opal Star will be ready to leave. There is a passive-aggressive standoff until Ms. Yellow arrives and reveals that Cynfrith is nearby. The party has the approval to go and detain him until Almari security forces arrive.
