We’re nearing the conclusion of our study in Second Kings, and today we have an eye on chapter 24. Hope seems like an elusive target to many in our world! We’ll soon discover that hope and strength are only found in the Lord! Placing our trust in anyone or anything else will lead to disappointment.

In your study of the Bible, have you ever encountered a verse or two that left you asking, How in the world does that apply to us? I think it’s safe to say First Corinthians eleven is one such place. Here the subject of head coverings comes up. There were some women in the church at Corinth who chose not to wear head coverings and this caused quite a stir. Here we are centuries later and obviously that’s not a cultural norm in America. So do we toss this passage out thinking it no longer applies? Actually pastor Ed Taylor says it has something very important to say to us.
