Today on Abounding Grace we pay a visit to First Kings twenty. Last time you may recall we learned quite a bit about our enemy and how he comes at us. But it’s important to realize, God is greater than our enemy and victory has already been obtained. We’re living in a day and age where divorce is commonplace -- even in the church. In fact, if you’re an adult and both of your parents are still married to each other, you’re in the minority sad to say! It wasn’t all that different in Jesus’ day. In fact, some Jewish rabbis taught that you could divorce your wife for just about anything -- even burning your dinner! But what about something a little more serious? It’s not hard to see, many today are living with anxiety and depression! And maybe that’s where you’re at today? That’s where we find the prophet Elijah in First Kings nineteen. You might recall, he just experienced a great spiritual high and victory on Mount Carmel. But now he’s in a valley of discouragement and fearful!
