In this episode I interview Daniel Fincham, the founder of Recoverlution.
Daniel shares openly with us his struggles with alcohol. How he went from a guy who just liked a drink with his friends to drinking 3 bottles of wine before work.
He shares with us how he hid his addiction from his employer and his wife; that he was a highly functioning VP for many years before hitting rock bottom, ending up in prison, and losing it all.
He explains to us that addiction cannot be overcome at a behavioural level - he details why we have to get to the bottom of the pain we are hiding from, and how accepting and loving ourselves as we are is the key to a successful recovery.
I was fascinated and moved by Daniel's story, I hope you are too.
