Action for Everyone

With the industry basically shutting down for a week, the boys thought it would be fun to do a mailbag. Questions cover everything from best fight scenes, to Netflix numbers, to who would win in a Kumite (It's Mike since he owns ALL the swords)

Some of you may know that for the last few years Vyce has done an annual retrospective for Veteran's Day on the year in war films. We're a bit late, but this year he's bringing to the podcast and has graciously asked Mike to come along for the ride. We promise, you do not want to miss this episode.  Check out Vyce's previous written versions on Lewton Bus below!

2019 Pt 2

Liam, Vyce and Mike are joined by special guest, Mandy's Aaron Stewart-Ahn to take on The Matrix Resurrections. Who are the good, bad and maniac cops? After that the boys lavish some praise on Hawkeye and what it might mean for the future of the MCU.

The lads talk Spiders-Men, Michelle Yeoh, Nic Cage as Nick Cage, and Ninja. Vyce goes into Halo Infinite and Warframe, Mike continues his assault on A24 (kidding, he actually praise them, particularly Barely Lethal) and Liam talks about the value of the Holiday Hail Mary.

Congrats are in order for Vyce, and the boys talk the newest trailers including Operation Fortune, The Matrix, and RRR. From there they talk Indian cinema and Liam's experience watching 2019's War. They finish up chatting Savage Dog

The boys talk the HCA action movie nominees and Liam tries to convince Mike he's wrong about A24's 6 Underground. Then the move on to to the movie where Mark Wahlberg tells a katana to say hi to it's mother for him, and they wrap up with Castle Falls and some love for James and Chris Mark

Video CULTure and Film Combat Syndicate's Matthew Essary joins Mike to give a quick review of the 2021, Dolph Lundgren directed Castle Falls.

Matt's Review

Liam, Vyce and Mike talk about some of their favorite action movies they've watched this year that they think people are sleeping on and should check out.

The lads start off by talking about the state of the world, which let's be honest sucks. They also talk about remakes and why if you aren't excited for a new Timo movie you need to fix your soul. Then they get into Never Back Down: Revolt, a movie which leaves them all feeling conflicted. Liam talks a little about Bruised and the amazing Halle Berry, Mike talks Rocky vs. Drago, and Vyce and Mike sing the praises of The Fable and why all action fans need to check them out ASAP.

The boys talk Red Notice and Liam tries to maintain a career while Mike and Vyce try to burn it down. Then they talk the amazing Hell Hath No Fury and give much love to Nina Bergman and the always great Daniel Bernhardt. Then they switch to No Time To Die and Mike worries he'll have to turn in his Action Twitter card, and finally they talk Shang-Chi and how PR can sometimes really affect what a movie is actually trying to say.
