The claws are out for this episode of the Action Movie  Hall of Fame with Matt and Dereck reviewing Logan on its 5 year anniversary.  The movie was critically well received by critics, and audiency well received by the audience. But how does it hold up 5 years after the fact? Super hero movies are starting to get tired, almost as tired as Logan is in this movie. So does Logan have one more run left in him for the AMHOF, or will he get crossed out?

On the 25th Anniversary of The Fifth Element, Matt and Dereck take it into consideration for the Action Movie Hall of Fame. Does Director Luc Besson's weird Sci-Fi/Space Opera (mixed with hip-hop)/Comedy/Action movie, with it's fabulous costumes, and perhaps a bit too much Chris Tucker, have all the elements it needs to make it into the AMHOF? Or will  it lack the stones to get the job done?

Put a bunch of youth in an enclosed area, and have them kill each other until there's only one left. That's the dystopian plot of 2012's The Hunger Games. Does this movie have the right collection of skills to reach the Action Movie Hall of Fame, or will a sound ring out across the sky, signaling that the Hunger Games didn't make it? 

Matt and Dereck make a trip back to the Alien Universe (AU) to see if some of the questions left in Prometheus will be answered. What is the black goo? How does the black goo become the beloved Xenomorph we've all come to know and love? Is this movie necessary? Would you prefer a world where only the original Alien movie was made? How long exactly have we been in David's apartment?  The guys tackle those questions PLUS: will AC be able to sneak it's way into the Action Movie Hall of Fame, or has this movie tooted it's final note?

Was Prometheus able to live up to the hype of the trailer?  And how does it hold up 10 years later. The Count of Monte Cristo is no doubt a great adventure, not to mention a total swashbuckler. This week, Matt and Dereck check out this period piece on it's 20th anniversary. Does this movie have the fortitude to make it to the hall of fame, or should it be locked up in the Chateau d'If, with the key thrown away?

It's hard to believe it's already been 20 years since 2002's Reign of Fire. It's also hard to believe a sci-fi dragon movie would ever exist at all. With a star studded cast before some of them were stars, does Reign of Fire have enough of a fire in it's belly to swoop into the Action Movie Hall of Fame? Or has this movie reached the twilight of it's usefulness?
