The found-footage style of film-making is usually tied to horror movies. And action movies typically have big budgets. But this week on the Action Movie Hall of Fame, Matt and Dereck review a movie that bucks both of these trends, with 2012's Chronicle. It had great success at the box office, with favorable reviews from critics and fans alike. Will Chronicle be able to take flight into the AMHOF? Or will it be left for dead in downtown Seattle?

On it's 25th anniversary, we revisit Paul Verhoeven's misunderstood action satire, Starship Troopers. What the movie lacks in acting, it makes up for with special effects. Will the larger message and special effects help this movie invade the Action Movie Hall of Fame, or will Matt and Dereck use the best democratic tool they have (violence) to keep it out? Some people have called Predator 2 the best predator movie released in 1990. This week, Matt and Dereck extend their stay in the P.U. and revisit the much maligned sequel to the 1987 Action Movie Hall of Fame Inductee, Predator. Is the movie really as bad as we remember? And does this movie have what it takes to get to the Action Movie Hall of Fame, or will superior movies step back, leaving this movie alone in a kill box?

And with the release of Prey, Matt and Dereck do a deep dive on the original: 1987's Predator. How will this 80s action movie hold up? Is it a b-movie held in too high regard? Or will it stand the test of time, and survive against all odds to make it into the Action Movie Hall of Fame?

As we all know, the 35th Anniversary is the most important of all Anniversaries - and this is the 35th Anniversary of the Action Movie Classic, 1987's Predator. To celebrate, Matt and Dereck review the new Prey sequel, now streaming on Disney+. Can a Disney property really live up to the Predator name? How does this stack up against the original? And could this movie find itself in the AMHOF in 5 years? 

Joss Whedon took the helm of Justice League after the sudden departure of Zack Synder. What we were left with in 2017 was Whedon's version, based on what was left by Synder, and Whedon filling in the holes. This movie will forever be compared to the Synder cut, and the first Avengers, which Whedon also directed. Does the DC version of superheroes coming together have a chance to make it into the Action Movie Hall of Fame, or is this movie better destined to spend its time in a primordial hell-scape?

10 years ago, the Avengers formed for the first time in the MCU. Does that alone make The Avengers a movie that deserves to be in the Action Movie Hall of Fame? Or is it nowhere near as good as Endgame and Infinity War, and could be forgotten with a snap of the fingers?

Last week, Matt and Dereck put 2017's Thor Ragnarok into the Action Movie Hall of Fame. They follow that up by checking out the latest Thor offering from Chris Hemsworth, Taika Waititi, and crew. Is this new Thor a worthy follow up to Ragnarok, or should Love and Thunder be considered the Goat?
