This week's episode is with returning guest, Lo Roxburgh, who is a world renowned fascia expert, author and movement educator. Her expertise is in fascia which is the layer of tissue directly beneath the skin that surrounds and supports muscles, organs, and other structures throughout the body. It plays a huuuuge role in how we alchemize stuck/old energy into liberation/expansion and is the communication network of the body (some also refer to fascia as the subconscious mind that lives underneath the skin). In this episode we are getting into the role fascia plays in our overall heath, tuning into our bodies, leaning into and trusting the feminine, sharpening our intuition, allowing for fluidity in both our bodies and our lives, the role emotional intelligence will play in the age of AI and so much more. 

I actually had another episode slated for this week but I decided to push this one up because at this moment in time learning how to listen to and lean on our own bodies/breath is truly one of if not the most important things for us to be prioritizing so that we can first and foremost process and then also take action in ways that feel aligned to us.

I'm not gonna lie...I struggled heavy to get on the mic this week. I procrastinated it to the last moment and didn't know what I was going to talk about this week (was feeling majorly blocked) but what did come through when I finally sat down to record was that showing up to do it even though I wasn't feeling it/had no clue what I wanted this episode to be about is in and of itself the win and enough for me. In this episode I'm talking about accepting that showing up doesn't necessarily mean showing up 10/10 every second of every day, about leaning into and trusting the feminine, the general concept of enoughness and defining whatever that is FOR YOU and why.

This week's conversation is one of the most profound conversations I have honestly ever had in my life on or off the podcast. I'm joined by my friend and my yoga teacher Mimi Ghandour who is truly one of the strongest people I have ever known. 

Late last year on December 11th 2023, Mimi lost her beautiful 12 year daughter, Hala, who was born with a muscular disease that came with a life expectancy of 2 years old. While Hala's story is one of deep pain and grief it is also a story of unconditional and transcendent love. It's about unwavering faith, resilience and choice. It's about living with grief and allowing it to transform into even more purpose. And it's about showing up even when we have every excuse not to.

We have a solo today and the theme of this week's show is about something that I think a lot of us can relate to, which is about the fear of being seen. It's a fear that is so deeply embedded in our systems and is one that takes bringing it to the surface, facing it and understanding it head on in order to move with/through it with the intent of no longer letting it stop us from being fully seen and fully known which turns out is actually the safest place to be in.
