As civilians, we are seldom told the truth, especially when it comes to war. LBJ lied about an attack on US ships in the Gulf of Tonkin. Bush II lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. If we want to end these perpetual wars abroad, we the people must take back the power to declare war.
