Night 12 brings us to a Mick Garris directed & Stephen King written film with, Sleepwalkers. This tale of cat people that have a very special diet was also adapted from an unreleased story by King. Sleepwalkers is also a film that is best enjoyed as a fun B-Movie that should never be taken seriously...oh yeah, almost forgot to mention Sleepwalkers features a ton of cameos from some of the most legendary writers & directors in history!

Have the years been kind to this unique & bizarrely funny film that some critics and audiences didn't know how to enjoy? I'm leaning toward yes...Have a listen to night 12 and find out why this deserves a second look!!

For night 11 of 31 Nights of Frights, we visit Gatlin, Nebraska In the classic Fritz Kiersch adaptation of Children of the Corn. Children of the Corn just so happens to have the most sequels of any Stephen King adaptation with NINE films and TWO remakes...Seriously! I still think the first one is the best one personally...

For night ten, those Tommyknockers are knocking at the door in this 1993 John Power directed adaptation of the Stephen King novel. Yet another adaptation brought to ABC, How does it hold up today?

Night nine of 31 Nights of Frights brings us to the cult favorite, Silver Bullet. With a screenplay written by Stephen King  & adapted this from his own novella, Cycle of the Werewolf, this one winds up being an odd mix of the sentimentality of some of his more dramatic works crossed with some surprising violent deaths.

Night Eight takes us to the well regarded and received Tobe Hooper directed classic Salem's Lot. This one was the first of many Stephen King made for TV movies, that had audiences captivated with some well executed and iconic vampire moments.

For night seven of 31 Nights of Frights we get the Stephen King written anthology film with, Cat's Eye!! Featuring two stories from his Night Shift book along with one original, we know we should be in for a fun movie, especially with all the fun references to other King novels.

Night six of 31 Nights of Frights brings us to a very different type of horror from George A. Romero in, The Dark Half. Known by fans as an extremely faithful adaptation, This film has a more psychological horror slant with the question of if we were to have an alternate personality, can that personality literally take on a life of its own?

The Dark Half is a film from a legendary master of horror who is at the top of his game here. Have a listen and find out why this is not just an essential adaptation of the Stephen King story but also an essential George A. Romero Film!!

Night five brings the often ignored & forgotten Stephen King adaptation, The Mangler. Yeah this is the one about the demonic killer laundry machine with Freddy Krueger, actor Robert Englund. It also includes actor Ted Levine (The Silence of the Lambs, Monk) on the case who doesn't just deal with said demonic laundry machine but also a possessed ice box! Tobe Hooper definitely had his work cut out for himself on this one...
