Ibogaine is a hallucinogenic drug being used for the treatment of addiction.  It has been in and out of the news most recently when reality tv star Scott Disick (Of “Keeping Up With the Karashians” fame) went to Costa Rica for treatment for his addictions to alcohol and pills.

This week Denise interviews Dr. Deborah Mash.  As a neuroscientist, lecturer, and inventor, Dr. Mash has dedicated more than 25 years of her research career to unlocking the secrets of the human brain.  She is nationally recognized as a leading researcher in neuroscience and brain disorders, playing a pivotol role in more than 200 published studies investigating aging, neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric diseases.  She is the Director of the University of Miami Brain Endowment Bank and professor of Neurology and Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology at the University of Miami School of Medicine.

Dr. Mash is widely known for her groundbreaking work on the Neurobiology of addiction and is a world-reknowned expert on the hallucinogenic drug, Ibogaine.
