Josh just wanted to make music. As a kid, the dream was to be in a band. But then life collapsed — his parents split, alcohol took over, and older women pulled him further off course.

Along with the drinking came something darker — a clutching at his chest that felt like barbed hooks haunted him for decades. He believed if it ever let go, he would die. Then came the shock I can relate to, blindness in his mid-20s. Like me, Josh has retinitis pigmentosa. It drove him back to the bottle. But, this is touched by Heaven, which means the story doesn’t end there.
