Some affected residents, including families in Ashalaja, one of the communities in Weija-Gbawe municipality, which were flooded as a result of spillage of water from the Weija Dam say they now have to sleep in kiosks. According to them, they have to contend with this situation until the water recedes.

Scores of residents in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region have been displaced with several others trapped in their homes as Ashalaja, Weija, Oblogo and Tetegu areas flood. The residents have described it as a crisis situation as many homes have nearly been submerged.

At least five people have sustained multiple gunshot injuries with one pronounced dead in a shooting incident in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region. A 27-year-old was pronounced dead on arrival at Nkwanta St Joseph Catholic Hospital with one who is in critical condition referred to the Municipal hospital.

Level 400 students of the University of Education, Winneba, have demonstrated because of what they say is a deliberate attempt by school authorities not to update the cumulative record of students for the last three years. The students among many accusations are blaming the data protection unit of the school for failing to update the records on their portals, making the various portals of the students empty.
