AffirmantraTea is back from our midseason break! We missed hitting the airwaves but definitely needed to rest and recharge! You feel me?
We are back with a very special guest who blesses us with so many gems this episode!
Raised in Oakland, California and living in Brooklyn, Dominique Drakeford is currently a leader in environmental education, ethical and community advocacy. She is the chief curator of MelaninASS (Melanin and Sustainable Style) – a blog platform amplifying the voices of BIPOC across sustainable fashion, beauty and wellness spaces. She is also the Co-Founder of Sustainable Brooklyn, an organization working to bridge the gap between the sustainability movement and targeted communities using tailored high-low approaches through BIPOC focused events & resource development. She stylishly works at the intersection of sustainability and community to heal our relationship with Earth and spark equitable change for economic well-being. Dominique is a pillar of visibility to help an accessible framework, specifically for how the Black diaspora absorbs information, gains clarity and becomes more sustainability liberated while simultaneously working to dismantle toxic systems.
