The Journey -
- We traveled on foot through the mountains for freedom.  Like millions of families, we had to escape the crimes of the Russian Red Army.

The Day Came -
- We were just like the 5-10 million Afghans who fled the country during the Communist invasion—only a single story of a family that wanted to escape the traumas of war.  

The Guide -
- The older man that took my father out of Kabul city during the Communist invasion.  

War Facts -
- The war wounds that Afghans have suffered for decades began with the Russians' invasion in 1979.  The communist are gone, but we still see the impacts of war. 

Hold Your Fear -
- My fears followed me for decades, and knowing and dissolving them was simple, but I had to do the inner work.  "Just see it."

Wish Granted -
- My wish for my father to vanish happened quickly, something I wished for but never saw it coming.

Red -
- The red color of Communism painted our city streets, towns, and schools a new way of life.  I was not too fond of the color red as a young child because I was frightened by it.

House Invaded -
- The Russian Red Army attacked Kabul city, Afghanistan, in 1979, and this is how I found out a superpower stormed into our country.  Afghanistan was one of the poorest nations before the war.  

Why -
- Stand up to the cycle, and why not.  It's time.  What is my intention, and why am I talking about all of this stuff.  

Meditation Part 4 -
- I have more work to do a lifetime of work that will automatically blossom meditation in every aspect of my life.
