Area 51 event after action report

Everyone thought the “Storm Area 51 Viral Meme” was a joke until officials in Lincoln county contemplated what might happen if all those people actually showed up. In this episode of the Disaster Podcast, we chat with Sam Scheller of Guardian Elite Medical Services, and ambulance company from Las Vegas specializing in event medical services.

Sam and his company provided ALS ambulance services to supplement the Lincoln County, NV BLS EMS service. They worked with state and local officials to plan for an event that had an unknown number of participants. Here Sam Scheller talks about lessons learned, impacts on the community, and more about the Storm Area 51 event.
