In this second episode rerunning Carlin Trammel and Michael May's old Dragonfly Ripple podcast that they hosted with their kids, it's the highest of fantasy as Michael and David delve into the animated Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies while Carlin and Annaliese play some Dungeons & Dragons. This episode also features the debut of Carlin and Dashiell's "Jetpack Tiger" segment with discussion about the Lilo & Stitch movies.
Michael, Evan, Pax and Rob gather again in the lounge to discuss novelty ties, Icelandic pop music, Rooster (some more), Punisher movies, and our favorite comfort meals and TV episodes.
Continuing our quest to determine the greatest spaceship of all time, Michael and Rob welcome Jeeg and John "Engineernerd" Vanover back to the show to talk about medium-sized ships. A long book deserves a long conversation and Michael and Jess are here to provide one. We're talking about Stephen King's It: the good, the bad, and the head-scratching.
We also talk about adaptations (ever heard of Woh?) and get into lots of spoilers for the recent Welcome to Derry series (but that's at the very end and easy to avoid if you haven't seen the show yet and want to remain unspoiled)Michael, Rob, and Pax continue their journey through the Predator movies - and officially add the Alien movies to the project - with Paul WS Anderson's Alien vs Predator, starring Sanaa Lathan, Lance Henriksen, and Raoul Bova.
Pax, Rob, Michael, and Evan talk about infant clowns, Hitchcock movies, The Odyssey, The Other Bennet Sister, and the insane magic of love. And Jacob Bean-Watson stops by to talk about some movies and update us on his meeting Steve Guttenberg and Ally Sheedy.
Michael and Rob welcome Delaney Graham, Doug Frye, Evan Hanson, Jody Collins, Kay, Michael DiGiovanni, and Robert Zerbe for another round of the Cast List card game, where contestants have to come up with the names of actors based on a list of movies they've been in.
Evan, Pax, Rob, and Michael talk about becoming cats, British TV, Supergirl comics, contractor caution, and secret identities.
After Lunch Irregulars Michael, Rob, Pax, and Jacob follow Sherlock Holmes into the 1940s for the first of Universal's B-movie takes on the character, Sherlock Holmes and the Voice of Terror. The movie has Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce as Holmes and Watson, teaming up with Evelyn Ankers and Reginald Denny to investigate a Nazi propaganda radio program that's demoralizing Britain.
