Today on AgricultHER, we’re excited to feature Maggie McDonald from Magnolia, Arkansas.  She is a junior at Oklahoma State University, majoring in Animal Science. Maggie grew up deeply involved in the livestock industry. She made her mark as a nationally competitive showman, traveling across the country with sheep and goats.

Ashlyn Ussery grew up in North Little Rock, Arkansas, without a direct tie to the ag industry. But when she started showing hogs through 4-H alongside her cousins, she discovered a passion that would shape her future. That experience sparked a love for agriculture and set her on the path toward making it her career.

Fast forward to today, Ashlyn serves as the Ag and Natural Resources Educator for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture at the Northeast Rice Research and Extension Center in Jonesboro.

Ellie Ferren is a White County Master Gardener and was honored as Master Gardener of the Year last year for her outstanding dedication and service. This fall, she’ll begin her studies at Southern Arkansas University, majoring in plant science with her sights set on becoming a landscape architect. 

Additionally, Ellie was recognized as the Arkansas 4-H Governor's Award Winner earlier this week!
