The vehicle could be riding on 20"" wheels wrapped with Michelin e-Primacy tires - and features a tri-bar third brake light.

Most likely, the vehicle will run using the GM Ultium EV platform, centered around a flexible battery architecture. GM promotes Ultium as a robust technology with cells that can support vehicles of all shapes and sizes - with the cells stored vertically for SUVs, trucks, and crossovers, or horizontally-stacked cells for cars high performance-vehicles.

Buick invites auto fans to ""dream with us"" as the automaker prepares for an electric future:

Buick expects to have a fully-electric future by 2030, which fits with GM's effort towards a zero-emission, all-electric product lineup in the future. To help Buick move forward, GM filed trademarks earlier this year for Electra E1 through E9, as the company apparently plans a full range of Buick EV models at some point later down the road. Expect a handful of different Buick EVs to be unveiled with the Electra moniker for all the auto brand's electric efforts.

A Buick EV crossover was spotted during road testing in China last month, and this prototype seems to be the same - with wheel design and other features appearing identical.

Twitter has officially suspended sign-ups of its controversial Twitter Blue subscription following a disastrous launch that has caused significant reputational damage to advertisers.

Following a $44 billion buyout of the social media giant, Elon Musk had a vision for Twitter: Everyone and anyone could be verified if they paid $8 a month via Twitter Blue for the privilege. This idea wasn't so easy to implement, especially with all the existing verified users. Twitter has gone back and forth between having two verified badges--one denoting an official institution, company, brand, or person, and another separate one saying the user is verified.

Chaos ensued when users signed up to Twitter Blue and used their new check marks to impersonate public figures like the President of the United States, or even former President George W. Bush, O.J. Simpson, and major billion-dollar advertisers like Nintendo, who happens to be one of the most litigious companies on the planet. Even Elon Musk's own company Tesla wasn't exempt from the parodies. Brands have had to outright apologize to their followers, including Eli Lilly and Company, who had to tell followers that no, they were not offering free insulin as an impersonator had promised. The damage has been done on a wide scale and advertisers are reportedly pulling out en masse.

Now Twitter has suspended sign-ups of Twitter Blue in an attempt to curb these impersonations, which have caused reputational harm for brands, advertisers, and the platform itself.

Every quarter, Nintendo delivers updates on its total net sales revenues on a platform level. Out of curiosity, I wanted to know how much the Nintendo Switch has made in its lifetime so far. The answer is...a lot.

According to our findings, which were converted from quarterly yen values into USD using foreign exchange rates published in Nintendo's earnings briefs, the Nintendo Switch platform has generated $62.26 billion since launch to present. This includes hardware, digital and physical software, subscriptions, and add-on content sold through the eShop platform.

What's most interesting about this data is how much Nintendo has made from Switch hardware. Remember, the Switch was designed to be sold at a profit since launch, and even the new Switch OLED models are sold at a profit (although the profit margin for the OLED is less due to more expensive premium materials).

If we cross-reference total Switch platform data against total hardware and software data, we see an interesting trend. Our findings show that Nintendo has generated $69.9 billion from total hardware and software from March 2017 - September 30, 2022. This total data includes sales of non-Switch hardware like the 3DS handheld.

A quick bit of math shows that the Nintendo Switch made up 89% of total dedicated video game segment sales across this seven-year span.

It's interesting to note that despite being at the end of its lifecycle, the 3DS was still a material contributor in terms of hardware and software revenues, with millions of games sold even throughout the Switch's lifecycle. Even the Wii U has managed to sell tens of thousands of games throughout the quarters.

Electric automaker Fisker will reportedly prioritize production - and deliveries - of its Ocean electric vehicle over software that provides owners with some expected features. Production will begin Thursday, October 17 at a factory in Austria. The US company wants to reach 42,000 units manufactured in 2023, which will make a serious dent in the company's closed reservation list.

As Fisker plans to get production underway for its Ocean SUV, the automaker already has 62,000 reservations for the EV.

The first Ocean One units fresh from the factory won't have software features like lane assistance, automatic high beams, and blind spot monitoring just yet - Fisker should issue updates sometime in early 2023. Features such as lane centering, cruise control, and traffic avoidance functionality shouldn't be expected until late 2023, at the earliest.

The majority of automakers were forced to adjust production strategies related to supply chain issues throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the patience level of prospective buyers - especially if they placed a reservation - could remain rather fickle. While Fisker has shown off some neat concept vehicles since the company's launch in 2016, now is the time to show investors and reservation holders what it can do.

Apparently, Fisker CEO Henrik Fisker isn't a huge fan of cruise control anyway, so he wonders how much drivers will miss any advanced driver-assist solutions:

The ocean should be able to support up to 350 miles range on a single charge - Fisker claims it's more than any competing vehicle in the same class.

Earlier in the year, Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda received criticism for his company's slow response to the auto industry's transition towards EVs.
