Recent research from Anthropic reveals that AI’s chain-of-thought (CoT) reasoning, the explanation behind its decisions, is inaccurate more than 80% of the time. That’s right, 80%. However, it doesn’t stop there. It finds 99% of shortcuts or hacks to achieve its goal. However, it only tells you when it did less than 2% of the time.
