Akwesasne is a town and a nation where a simple visit will make you cross the U.S. and Canada border multiple times without ever realizing it. This Mohawk community, home to about 13,000 people and sits astride the world's longest border, is not quite part of Canada or the United States, but both. But then again, it is not entirely independent either. Confusing? Yep.
