This program was aimed to train attorneys to recognize the effect that a client’s trauma has on the attorney-client relationship and educate attorneys on trauma-informed lawyering practices, guiding attorneys to adjust our strategies to build an effective relationship and limit re-traumatizing the client in the course of our legal representation.

Understanding and effectively administering the New York State Workers’ Compensation and Disability Benefit Laws require a literal and practical understanding and application of the relevant laws. 

From the viewpoint of an attorney who has represented injured and disabled individuals for more than twenty-five (25) years, this program will provide you with the knowledge to skillfully navigate the applicable laws and ensure that impacted employees receive the appropriate benefits to ensure they can remain productive employees.
